Odds start at +9 and decrease by 1, evens are increased by number*4 (starting at one)
5, 7,
5 + 9 = 14
7+(1*4) = 11
14 + 8 = 22
11 + (4*4) = 27
22 + 7 = 29
27 + (16*4) = 107
29 + 6 = 35
107 + (64*4) = 363

while his pattern works for the numbers, i don't think there are enough values to be conclusive with that. You have just taken the second difference of every second element... so you are effectively working with 2 numbers to come up with a pattern
as such: the eigth number could just as easily be 27 + 36, being t6 + 6^2
at that point it becomes a guessing game.
