    Default My First BSoD

:O I know, it's probably crazy. But, I got my first ever BSoD.

Now, I know you're going to say it's because I'm running Vista Home Premium 64-Bit. But, it's not

And to calm the haters, Vista is much nicer and easier to use that Linux.

But anyways, I got it because I tried to use the RSBot RuneScape as my SCAR client. Wow. That was a rush.

Surprisingly few. No BSoD yet, and it's been compatible with nearly everything I've needed.

True test will come in the next few days when I put CS4 on it.

Yup. With Win7, the 64 bit version is the version. A 32 bit version exists, but it is depreciated by microsoft.

So is Win7 alot of money?

Should I wait for my desktop when I buy one to just get win7, or get vista??

I hate microsoft sometimes when they have so many versions of everything...

Def don't pay for vista. Win7 is currently in Beta, was free from microsoft, but that's over now. You can find it on TPB if you want it.

I would definitely pay money for Win7 though.

@smartzkid, how is win7's speed compared to XP?

@ejjman, I'm pretty sure MS is giving free upgrades to win7 if you have vista. I'd have to check on that though.

Win7 beta only lasts till like august(?), then the activations get canceled or something, not really a tip, just a "look out"

Hmm, nice. I've got 2 BSoD's with Vista just in the time I used it at school (not even many hours total). And no way it's easier to use than for example ubuntu which is a "noob linux", if you're used to windows of haven't even tried any other OSes you think it's easier.. And I've used XP for ages and I recall a total of 1 BSoD.

It can be Blue or Black depends on some variables.

Windows XP displays a black screen with white arrow if lsass.exe is missing or corrupted.

On Windows Vista, some boot errors are shown on a black screen. These generally occur when winload.exe is missing or corrupted.
