    Default Computer Choosing.

Meh, I am buying a new compy, and wanted some extra opinions.
Does this seem worth the money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883113102
I will be buying this to boost performance:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127434

I kinda veered from building one myself because every time I start shopping, my cart would go over my wanted price before I got more than the processor/mobo/ram/videocard.

I saw Ejjman1 post a forum, and I might check that out...

    Wouldn't it be "Computer Choice"?

I have no experience with building a computer, so I am not sure about that.

    But I got mine for about $685 and I have same graphics card, a 20in monitor (1600x900), 6gb ram, and a 320gb hard drive. Also @ 2.5ghz.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that one. It comes with Vista, but doesn't seem to include a free update to 7 like a lot of other systems are doing nowadays. Of course, that's the only thing I can find "wrong" with that system, so it might be worth it if you really don't want to build your own system.

But as I'm no expert, you'll probably want someone else's opinion as well.

Ya, I already have a 19 in. monitor and my external eSATA HD, so I don't care about either of those. It is supposedly a very good video card, and they whole system is on sale. My parents already pre-ordered Windows 7(my dad hates Vista), so that won't be a problem... plus I like Windows XP, so I will probably install that.

It looks pretty good to me. I just spent 1200$ on a similar system actually, but I got vista/XP pre installed and a 23inch HD monitor

Mine is from Dell though so it is clearly over priced.

I don't really see how you could go wrong if you bought this.

looks like a pretty good deal to me. for about $100 more you could do much better from scratch, but at that price point, it is hard to compete.

Here's one (with vista) with similar performance as the hp for about the same price point

    https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=14402428

it has slightly fast graphics capabilities.

of course, that is without vista installed, so you are looking at $200 including the OS.

As for the vista haters, STFU. Vista has been by far the best MS operating system I have ever used.

Well, your going to have to invest into a new PSU, 300 watts will not cut it with all that stuff.

    I'd also go with a radeo hd4850.

Has alot more stream processors and the memory clock is almost 2ghz which will provide the biggest performance boost if you was overclocking it instead of the GPU clock.

So the half size won't matter? And yes, I already have a 550w psu that is in my old compy(its less than 2 months old).

You never mentioned a price range, but since the link you posted was for around 600$ im guessing not much higher then that :\.

If you are looking to play games with it here is a list.
