    Default What is the "Perfect" bot in your eyes?

    God comes down and says "Thy son (or daughter), I grant you a perfect bot. Just you must tell me everything you think it must have".

    Perfect chat?
    Perfect random solving?
    Being able to do whatever task you choose flawlessly?
    Perfect walking to anywhere?
    Being able to do anything?

    I want to say "unbannable", and I guess it would be fair. Of course I don't know how it would be possible to code a real human responder but hey , this is the thread where anything goes.

    What do you think makes a bot perfect?

    In addition if this chat gets going, it will bring up some great ideas that possibly people can implement in their code. All good inventions are ideas first.

    a robot with 20 arms able to use 10 computers at the same time acting like 10 different people. robot is programmed with the world's best hacker's knowledge and moral thinking.
    Robot able to surf the web as anything, anywhere, doing whatever I want it to do, however long, powered by Villavu .

    But realistically, if perfect chat can be done, all the logrithmetics of the human mind is solved. This bot would solve more than just our botting problems .

    There's many websites where you can talk to A.I., it's quite common these days...

    But a perfect responder would not only have to know what to say, but when to say it as well.

    Guys, I think he's talking about what makes the "perfect" RuneScape bot? lol.

    Well, that's what I inferred from his post anyway...

    I think if we can create a flawless autoresponder then this bot would be perfect, colour finding is good, and with proper logic should be 'unbannable' plus with reflection making a comback anything is possible, all that is missing is an autoresponder, but if that is done wrong it also has a negative effect and could attract bans

    Best bot would undoubtedly be the bot that has been around the longest.
    Best bot would also be the one that keeps your players alive longest.
    Best bot would be the bot that is human.

    We all recognize bots. We all report bots. It's useless and revolting to walk around like a zombie in runescape hammering on rocks or trees.

    In accordence with that, best things I ever made:

    Autoresponding, Remote Control, chat through remote master, chatlogging and bot2bot private convos.
    A clever autoresponder kept my players going in rough times. After all: A respone a day keeps the banhammer away!

    I still have wonderful "convo's" sometimes really getting very offensive

    In my eyes, the 'perfect bot' would be something to setup let run as the character it creates:
    - starts up
    - "random" chooses a profession
    - continues to do things applicable to that profession
    -> mine at different places
    -> fight at different places
    -> fish/cook at different places
    -> et cetera
    - adds people to the friends list
    - analytically interacts (AI) with a decent repertoire and vocab.
    - takes breaks some scheduled and some random. what I am working on now

    Yea, those are the basics for best bot in running. IMO
    On vacation in NeverLand,
    Code:
    typedef int bool;
    enum { false, true };

    In my eyes the best bot would be the one that lives a life. Some people get married in runescape. If jagex saw a bot doing that, would they ever think it was a bot?

    A bot is not human, therefore the more human interaction a bot has, the less it'll be thought of as a bot.

    No kidding indeed. As obvious as it sounds, we seem to forget that when adding features to a script...

    eg: A miner that detects the rock is gone but that it wasn't you taking it (it was stolen) could say 'That's my rock!'.

    Did you ever think about this obvious possibility?

    Try to not insult other members.

    AI = Artificial Intelligence.

    With the post that he quoted, you said there are many sites where you can talk to AI. Ummm... how can you talk to artificial intelligence?
