    Default Alch price fail

Sooo... today, some alch prices for runes were lowered. Nature runes alched for 223 gp each(ge price=11 gp->1 gp profit when you alched them before update) but now they alch for 74 each. Bloods and deaths are also down. I had like 100k of these over 3 accounts, gf my I guess. I am selling them back atm.

I was just about to post this... I'm so pissed, I was alching nats all day, only to find out that the price had changed after alching about 25k of them... What the hell? There wasn't even a news article about it was there?? And why did they change the prices so drastically?

Did you keep in mind that when you alch nature runes, you alch 2 of them?
You alch 1 + use 1 for alching. So how is that a profit anyway?

Well maybe not exploit but Jagex clearly doesn't want Magic to be a skill that can be 99'ed by sitting in one spot clicking the same place over and over, not losing any money while doing this.

Sure you can still alch items for profit, but these items have a buy limit of 10 or 100 per 4 hours and if the limit is >100 the price usually fixes itself in a few days so you can't alch it for profit anymore. (just like, for example, maple longbow (u) became nonprofitable in a week or so) Nats' price didn't get fixed automatically so Jagex had to take matters into their own hands.

Hope someone understands this post.. Lol.

Lol I saw the official explanation on the forums, they are basically saying that they took the cheap ways and decreased the alch price instead of banning the bots.
"Effectively this meant that you could level all the way up to 200 million XP in magic for no cost (in fact for a profit) which is not how the skill is intended to work." So botting is the way the skill is intended to work? Ok....
