    Default Insanity 1-60.

This will be my progress thread for the workout program: Insanity.
    http://www.beachbody.com/product/fit...ms/insanity.do

Let me tell you a little about me before this starts:
I am pretty fit, eat about 4000 calories a day maintain my shape with little to no exercise (I am 17, my youth's metabolism is still kicking). I was thinking about doing p90x but decided against it as I want a clearly visible and hard six pack before beach season comes up again.

    Starting dimensions:
    Weight: 180 pounds/82 kilograms (aprox)
    Height: 6'0/ 1.8 meters
Fat index: I am estimating 26%
    Mile time: 6:32

    Times:
I will wake up every day at 5 AM, exercise/shower/go to school.

    Diet:
I am so used to eating 4000 calories a day, I will try to trim down.
    Morning: Fruit
    Lunch: Salad/with chicken + dressing
Come home from school: Oatmeal w/ Splenda
Dinner: Eggs, 2 yolks 4 whites/ What ever my parents cook in proportion.

    The actual workout schedule:

If I last all 60 days, I will post pictures. I really need encouragement to keep strong, so when I post if you happen to see me say keep going! haha

    Day 1:
    Day 1 complete!
Holy crap, the fit test burnt me. I don't think iv worked that hard since the first time
I did plyometrics of p90x. I can only imagine how hard the rest is :P

I am drenched >.<, so far I am pretty much on par with the instructors pace sometimes
I take a few breaks but nothing longer than 15 seconds.

    Outch!
    Day 2!

.....I have only once been worked harder than I was today and that was by
the united states marine core, there is no pause button with them.
Today was easily the second hardest workout of my life,
I sweat so much I don't even want to sit down cause my tooshe will slide off my chair/stick to it.

Yeah nasty details oh well :P, I don't feel like I really even did the
full workout I took MANY MANY breaks as I just couldn't go on in
some of them (pauses not breaks while the video was playing)
these breaks consisted of 5-20 seconds a piece >.< Oh well, hope I improve on that.

    Must say it was invigorating.
    5am - 6am (15 minutes to get out of bed/brush teeth etc.)
    Day 3!
Im actually dripping, yes dripping in sweat.. disgusted?
    you should be.
I thought it wasn't as hard as yesterdays but my
body seems to say otherwise. Perhaps it was the chilly
I ate for dinner last night, lots of beans lots of calories.
    Day 4! (Recovery day)
Kind of woke up late (Power went out yesterday, and I set my alarm to 5pm instead of 5am -.-) Regardless I still did most of the workout, was just recovery so a lot of stretching, positions I just couldn't reach, oh well I feel less sore now though.
    Day 5!
Eh, one of the more insane workouts. (Pun intended).
It is different than all the rest, instead of doing a set slow, medium, then insane we just go insane the whole ride with 0 breaks (I took breaks none the less, as did many of the people in the video) I think that was the blunt of the hard, at least for this month (Scratch that there is a combo day -.- "Pure cardio + cardio abs")
Lol oh well! more training woooo
    Day 6!
It was the same workout as day 2, I felt like I did more but I think it might be all in my head!
Well today I weighed in 3 pounds lighter than when I started a week ago, 177 now . I believe it was all water weight.
    Day 7!
    Code:
    Day off
    Day 8!
Outch, I kinda dogged it due to me waking up a little late and being out of the loop in my head. Need that moral support :P. Anyway still sweating, still was rather hard even when I slacked a bit.
    Day 9!
    ARGH PURE CARDIO!
What a workout, non stop drills. I am scared for when they combine this with cardio abs.
Also thanks Zyt3x for keeping faith in me
    Day 10!
Hmm turns out I didn't update today, could of sworn I did must of gotten side tracked.
Anyway, was a very hard day drained me but luckily tomorrow is recovery day Easy peezy. Improvements: I can do a lot more of the workouts than I could before, and I feel a lot more energetic (Thanks for the support everyone )
    Day 11! (Recovery)
Not much to say, was not a real sweat inducing workout just something to stretch my body. I can't really reach all the spots just yet so I am hoping to improve on flexibility as well. Thanks Football and Pinky for support!
    Day 12!
Was hard, like always but today I decided to drink some cold water instead of room temp to do my workout seems like I could do more reps of everything but like always when I drink cold water when working hard I get a sore throat and feel like I worked less.
    Day 13!
OUTCH!!! So I had to do Pure Cardio (Which is the one without breaks) AND Cardio Abs which was painful because of Pure Cardio I did about 5 minutes prior :P. My Wife-beater stuck to me and I couldn't take it off while trying to to haha.
    Anyway, weighed in today: 175.2
Woot 5 pounds lost since the start
    Day 14!
    Day OFF!
    Day 15! FIT TEST
Can honestly say, insanity is WORKING I improved on EVERY single one of my exercises some by a large margin.

It may just be the time I did it though :P, I did it 3 hours late today (No school) so I was awake with a lot more energy/but then again I was VERY energetic the first day I did insanity.

Results for two weeks of exercise (5 pounds lost) I weigh 175 now.
(Exercise - Start - Two week point)
    Switch kicks: 101 - 109
    Power Jacks: 31 -51
    Power knees: 45-77
    Power Jumps: 41 -46
Globe Jumps: 4 -7 (These are brutal, especially right after power jumps)
    Suicide Jumps: 10 - 12 (I regret this, I could of done at least 1 more >.<)
Push - up jacks: 13- 20 (Its weird since I can do 35 regular push ups..)
    Low Plank Oblique: 16 - 35
    Day 16!
I woke up kind of late, and was just not in the mood to work out but I did it anyway kind of dogged it but oh well life goes on. Still sweat like an animal.
    Day 17!
ARGHHHH PUREEE CARDIO + CARDIO ABS
Let me just tell you, it is the worst lol. Drenched...
Monday and Friday of next week, I am scared to do this :P
    Day 18!
Easy day, just recovery workout. Nothing much to say.
    Day 19!
Woo, was tiring hmm thoughts for this week I don't think I lost weight. I think I am having an energy deficiency due to a change in my "lunch" diet (I changed it to pure spinach instead of salad with meat/croutons)
    Day 20!
FINALLY, woot! been waiting for day 20 for a while! (1/3rd) done.
I decided for the next week my goal is to lose 4-5 pounds, possible? Yes. Will I do it? We will see.

I lost 1 pound this week, I was not going full force all week besides for today and wednesday though.

Other stuff I am getting to help improve circulation.
I read that increasing body temperature = increasing sweat production = more calories lost due to body working more to try to stay cool.

So I am going to purchase this cream called "Sweet Sweat" It apparently raises body temperature wherever you put it. It also prevents the lactic acid from building up so quickly (Perfect, as I have noticed it is building up rather fast recently) I am also going to get a waist trimmer (Increases circulation in waist area). Why am I buying this stuff? I noticed I do NOT sweat at all from my belly area just above and below, so I am going to try to induce the sweat.

Again neither of these are supplements, simple clothing and cream (I figure the cream aspect is the same as putting on an ace bandage).
    Day 21!
    Day off!
    Day 22!
Fun times, so I put on the waist trimmer and a pair of shorts that induce sweat.. reminds me of the swim clothing material (Actually, that is what I think it is made of) I didn't but the cream, and I don't think I need it so I won't be buying it. I got the shorts and the waist trimmer belt for $15 total from walmart . Anyway I think the shorts really did help, as I didn't feel my legs trying to give out on me during the workout my calves got in the way though. Good times.
    Day 23!
This morning was a toughy, I just couldn't get into the mood but I managed and I believe I worked hard enough. Sweat inducing clothing worked once again, it really feels like I am getting a better workout (Even if it is all mental).
    Day 24!
Was hard this morning, much harder than it was last saturday for some reason. I made this "green" shake, its uhh interesting. A bunch of leaves from some pre-made salad from the super market and 1 apple. I can taste the apple and then the aftertaste is of spinach.
    Day 25!
What can I say! Recovery day, love it and hate it. Love the little break but I hate not doing anything that really makes me work.

Thanks camaro' for the consistent support means a lot!
    Also thanks strafed!.
    Day 26!
Pure Cardio + Cardio Abs, what a killer. I also did some upper body at school today. I enjoyed today but I think I over ate >.<.
    Day 26!
Great time yesterday, really worked only lost another pound so 7 pounds total lost since day one. Eh can't complain didn't really follow diet strictly last week.
    Day 27!
    Off today
    Day 28!
Was the first day of core and balance workout week, was nice and easy. I enjoyed it and still got a little burn!
    Day 29!
Im tired, I went to sleep at like 9:30 yesterday and I still woke up a bit late and overly exhausted today :/ Hopefully this tiredness will pass. I did the work out today, as best as I could; wasn't too hard.
    Day 30!!!
WOO half way done with the entire program!
I enjoyed it today, since I was able to wake up a little late fully rested .

Unfortunately I won't be able to work out on Friday or Saturday due to me being out of state :/ and at someone else's home where I would feel very awkward either way :P.
    Day 31!
Was fun kind of bummed I can't do it tomorrow or Saturday! Oh well, Monday is the start of hell (Or so I heard)
    Day 32!
    Out of town
    Day 33!
    Out of town
    Day 34!
    Break day
MONTH TWO BEGINS (All new workouts, add an extra 30 minutes to each workout + up the level of intensity by 100)

    Day 35!
So I did the fit test in the morning and the actual workout in the afternoon. OUTCH I thought it was hard before, the next level of workouts are INSANE. A whole hour of non stop movement. I am pretty sure I only did about 30% of the workout due to the amount of breaks I took lol.
    Day 36!
    GSDFAG
    Even harder, words can't describe.
I have a sore throat from drinking ice cold water from yesterdays workout, so now I am suffering with that making this workout harder than it should be (Which is already way too extreme) I am enjoying it, I hope the sore throat goes away quick, time to OD on Vitamin C.
    Day 37!
Thank you cause, I need all the encouragement I can get :P
Today was rough again, I have a feeling it wasn't as bad as day 35 or 36 but I figure it is because I am less sick today. I think by sunday I will be fully recovered from my mild cold, which means I can go all out again. (At the moment when I go all out, I just get tired after a few seconds >.<)
    Day 38!
Ehh was really boring, very long and pretty much the same moves. It wasn't a fatigue video it was one of those keep your hands up till they fall off video's :P.
    Day 39!
Was great today, I ate a little over my calorie limit yesterday which I think gave me the extra energy I needed! I think I did about 75% of the workout this time, much better than my 25% last time.
    Day 40! (2/3) THERE
YES, today was phenomenal and my thoughts in my head about Max Interval Plyo being the hardest workout were 100% correct. I struggled even with the extra energy boost of yesterdays "barbecue + Culver's burger" >.< (Woops!)

    I weighed in today: 169.6
That means I lost 11 pounds total so far !

Can I see my abs, not really lol. I don't know if I will be able to even when I finish insanity but regardless if I can loose 20 pounds total I will be content with insanity and will start another Beachbody program. What program? I will decide when I finish insanity, there is no more "If" I finish insanity I will do it!

Also thanks Hyper! Glad to know you are following the program and keeping track with this thread means a lot!
    Day 41!
    Day off!
    Day 42!
Easily one of the worst days I have had in insanity, for some reason I couldn't complete ANY workout. I had to take so many breaks, I was just completely out of it. I don't really know what the contributing factor to this was but I am going to assume it is yesterday's diet on my break day. McDonalds in the morning, then chinese for lunch and then I ate the leftovers of the chinese for dinner.
    Day 43!
Today was MUCH MUCH better, finished about 75% of the workout unlike yesterday. For some reason I was just a lot more pumped. Although I did go to sleep EXTRA early yesterday, I think I dozed off at 8:30. Thank you Nemesis for the consistent support!
    Day 44!
Fun day, although it is plyo and I simply cannot do the plyo for my life I enjoyed it! I think I did around 45% of each exercise and spent the rest of the time panting for my life :P.

    Again thanks nemesis3X and footballjs!
    Day 45!
Max recovery, I find this to be very boring at times but also too extreme for a recovery at times. Eh nothing is ever perfect :P Just got to deal with it!
    Day 46!
So I have this friday and the entire next week off. After doing Max Cardio (The next level of Pure Cardio) I was overly exhausted but it didn't end there, we had to do cardio abs next. Over killed.

I weighed in today! 167.8, that is nearly 2 pounds lost from last week . Putting me at a total of 13 pounds lost

My plan for this week, since I have so much extra time.
    Insanity like normal
Then either p90x plyo X or TurboFire videos. (I have the p90x videos, but I need to borrow the Turbofire from one of my friends.)
    Day 47!
Didn't do it ill do it on sunday
    Day 48!
Pain, today was a fit test AND max interval cardio. Such a killer, I did them one after another so was abnormally tired.

Even though I think I improved on all my numbers when I counted it was very close; I am going at speeds I simply cannot count and move at the same time. At times I will be counting faster than I am moving and at other times moving faster than counting. Its annoying.

Either way I matched or exceeded *I think* all of the "master insanist" people in the fit test. (Yeah I made up a word)

    12 more days o.o
    Day 49!
Today was extremely tiring because I did it at night; regardless I finished it. I also visited my #1 college today loved it .
    Day 50!
    Day 50
I am going to let a lot of you down, but these two days I simply did not exercise for this I am sorry. I was playing volleyball on day 50 and went down for the ball and experienced a pretty bad strain on a muscle below the butt but above the thigh (don't exactly know what I strained) but when ever I bend down I feel a pretty sharp pain.
    Day 51!
    Day 51

I was playing volleyball on day 51 and went down for the ball and experienced a pretty bad strain on a muscle below the butt but above the thigh (don't exactly know what I strained) but when ever I bend down I feel a pretty sharp pain. I will be back on the wagon tomorrow, sorry for any let downs.
    Day 52!
I am pissed at myself for not working out the last two days (even if one of those were a recovery day) I feel like I really couldn't keep up with even what I usually do in today's video. Still regardless managed to workout a serious sweat. Ugh the thing that really made me mad was the pain I had during pushups I did like 8 and was actually tired unlike before where I would do about 25 then get a tad tired. Also on another note turns out there are 63 days not 60 :P 7 days x 9 week = 63
    .

    Day 53!
Played volleyball over core cardio and resistance (A recovery workout)
    .

    Day 54!
    Break day
    .

    Day 55!
Fun day monday, was really tired when finished. Felt like before I hurt myself so I am glad!.
    .

    Day 56!
What a bummer woke up super late so I wasn't able to do the workout before school, got home did it very very slow and sluggish (Just was drop dead tired) ended up finishing crossed off my chart as incomplete for that day though.
    .

    Day 57!
Worked hard, and well this morning!
Great workout once again, 4 more days!!!!!!
birthday today tooo 18 at last.
    .

    Day 58!
This workout is one of the easier ones, but man.. those last couple minutes are killer. I am also fighting a terrible headache from my "activities" for my birthday the day before :P.
    .

    Day 59!
Thank you brandon! I didn't lose nearly as much as weight as you did but then again I didn't really follow the diet to the core like I planned :P These last two weeks have been extremely tough to follow the diet with so many festivities around (I think I may of actually gained weight O.o). Regardless I know my endurance and leg power increased dramatically which was my original goal to begin with! Today was the same as always, drenched and feeling good! Still don't really have visible abs, but I feel like I toned down quite a bit. (2 more days!!!)
    .

    DAY 60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOO, WORKED THE HARDEST IV EVER WORKED FOR THESE VIDEO's. I took aprox 3 breaks (this is the workout that has no breaks built in) CRAZY was dead on the ground with my heart pumping so fast I could see my chest expand dramatically. Felt nauseous, felt light headed, but I felt great... I am pretty much DONE all I have left is a fit test tomorrow !!!!

15 pounds lost (weighed today), eh I can say I like the improvements to the body but I wish I worked just a bit harder and stuck to the diet a bit more so I could get those visible abs. (I can feel the abs, they are just not showing under fats :P)

Interesting, what types of exercise is it then? I mean, it looks all Cardio but like what movements ect? I've always been a fan of the convict workout, which is a set of movements which don't require gym equipment.

Anyway, goodluck will be interested to see how you get on.

The exercises consist of HEAVY cardio with crazy emphasis on plyometrics. They are meant for cutting and definition over building a lot of mass, though it is reported most people gain a few pounds in lean muscle.

No weights, no pull up bar, nothing but your body is needed.

What's your point? I've known people who could run the mile in 4 minutes.

    Will do!
    and @ 6:04 man

Okay... A 12-year-old girl does not weigh 180 pounds :P It's a different ball game to run the mile when you weigh 98 pounds. I used to run the mile fast too when I was a twig.

Good luck dude, Insanity is just that, a insane workout. Last year I did P90X, and even without following the nutrition plan I dropped around 30-40LBS and went from 2 to 20 Pull Ups. Insanity will do even more then that..

    Got my support.

Prodigy? I was getting similar times at that age. Most kids are light and very energetic.

Holy crap, the fit test burnt me. I don't think iv worked that hard since the first time I did plyometrics of p90x. I can only imagine how hard the rest is :P

I am drenched >.<, so far I am pretty much on par with the instructors pace sometimes I take a few breaks but nothing longer than 15 seconds.

    Outch!

It's not hard to keep fit a bit every day.
    I'm doing Track & Field 9 times a week.
Anyhow, I wish you best of luck and I'm quite sure that after 60 days you're gonna be perfectly fit if you don't skip your trainings!
    All the best,
    ~Eerik.

I don't eat breakfast because I have a gym class second period so I get queezy but a light fruit is plenty.
