Just received a 48 hour ban

I've been botting about 3-6 hours a day, and doing lots of quests, ports, and slayer assignments in-between botting sessions.
Skill level above 2200.
The scripts I've been using for the last 2 weeks or so were:

Master Divination:

(Briefly, until I came back to the script spam clicking the ocean region acting strange, then I shut it off never to use it again. I have a suspicion this script was the culprit)

(Been using this about 3 hours at a time, one time I left it up for about 7 hours into the night. I'm wondering if this was the cause, as BotWatch probably has a presence at Seren Stones.)

(Used this over minigame weekend to get around 2500 points for Pest Control) but babysat it and corrected any errors.

Here's what happened. I've been gone to my girlfriend's house for 2 days, I just got back home, and logged into runescape on the legit client. As soon as I logged into Port Sarim, I lost connection. When I tried to log back in, I received the 48 hour ban message.

Where do you think I can go from here? Obviously, I'm going to play legit from now on, but is it going to be one of those things where they just set up a permanent ban once they review it or something? My membership is recurring on a credit card, so it's not like they will wait until I buy another bond and then ban me perm.

I haven't had much experience with 48 hour bans but I believe your account will be safe from further punishment so long as you refrain from any botting activities. Personally I think what got you was just due to the fact that you were botting some of the most heavily watched areas/skills in the game (seren stones and divination both have incredibly high ban rates) and you just got unlucky on some report-happy individual.

Once you log in after the 48 hour ban you'll begin a 7 day 'probation' period. Ge, trading, and a handful of mini games are disabled. If you try using GE or collection box your character will speak in public chat "I can't do that because I've been using a bot", so don't do that if you're planning on hiding you were banned.

Your account is fine, they're not going to ban the account unless it's caught botting (or interacting with bots)/breaking another rule.

I'm surprised you got a 48 hour ban on an acc with that total. My 2400+ total accs were all perm banned with no prior offences yet crappy gold farming accounts constantly walk away with 48hrs

Same happened with me yesterday, and it was because a player report(I was accidentally not afk and saw his/her question and also replied to it), 48 hour bans usually are.

So would I have to play the game for 168 hours just to get the trade ban lifted? Or is this a ban that just runs out from the time you log in through the next 7 days (overnight, etc)?
I have a feeling my account hasn't been permanently banned due to the fact that it's almost 10 years old.

7 days of real life time, not game time - if I was you, I'd make another main account, and bot safe hard on that. Looks like you've tripped up or been player reported at some point. Don't think the scripts are 100% safe, just need to do your best regarding bot safe, and hope for the best

I don't really plan on botting from here on out, but I would like to help develop scripts here for others.
I'm just glad I was able to save several WEEKS of playtime by botting through the majority of the grind.

Turns out, this 7 day trade ban was of 7 days ingame time. The timer resumes countdown when you're logged into a world, and stops when you get logged out. Soooo gotta play for 168 hours before I can get trading back. Any suggestions of how to do this?

It's not 7 days play time, just 7 different days logging in to the game.

You'll lose ranks on all leader boards and if you sign into a client you'll be perma banned

it is 7 days of play time ^, however even after those restrictions are lifted that message you get when you log in will always pop up. It's a bitch.
