Default Just received my iPhone 5

Tis so awesome! 64GB black/slate for £95 on a £36 per month contract, shame my loyalty contract does not apply to it though would be 50% off

Keep your charger handy. Battery life sucks on iPhone 5.
Never ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly".

iPhone 5's aren't terrible but when you compare the features and the OS's I would pick the S3 any day

Well my blackberry 9780 lasted for like 3 hours, kept on autoshutting down at 30% so anything is better than that, you guys probz don't close your apps every time you use them, I've had my sisters ipad and she always naggs me about it closing the apps so she saves battery life, just got used to it now

It might not have a great battery life, but charges pretty fast! At least with my 4S, it handles single day !

Yes it will most likely feature the new octa-core Exynos 5 However.. that one is made by combining four Cortex A-15 cores with four Cortex A-7 cores. Cortex A-15 is new and no phones are using it yet but the dualcore variant is in use in a Chromebook and the Google Nexus 10.

Tegra 4 sports 5 cortex a15 cores and one is clocked lower, it changes between multiple cores for battery life. Cortex a15 has some serious performance boost comparing it with cortex a9 (tegra 3, etc.).

I might buy a Samsung Galaxy 4, according to the rumours right now:
    • 5 inch screen
    • 1920x1080 resolution
    • Flexible/unbreakable screen (YOUM display)
    • Wireless charging
    • 13 megapixel camera
    • Octa core exynos 5

A friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (5.55") and I can still handle that size although its hard with one hand. Currently have a 4" 800x480 screen and upgrading to a 5" 1920x1080 display would be sick I'm planning to buy either a new phone or a tablet but the S4 is interesting

About the iPhone 5, Apple makes some nice products but as we are learning how to make android apps in my study I prefer Android devices.

You know your stuff. The only thing of concern is the price!

FOr the price you pay for an iphone 5, ur better getting the Samsung galazy Note II, samsung used to be apple's hardware supplier, and now it totally demolishes Apple products in terms of hardware, and since android is opensourced... think of all the posibilities

Closing apps on an iOS device with iOS4 (maybe its iOS5) or newer will background the app and stop it from using any additional power because it's not "open" but rather in a suspended state, which is why after an app has been closed (but not shut down) may take a few seconds to respond when re-opening it. This is something to watch out for on an android device however.

I have an iPhone 5 and the battery life is fine for me as I plug it in every night before bed and it lasts me the whole day for web browsing some games and other productivity based use (email, notes, and Facebook).

I definitely won't be getting a 5[s] or 6 though. Can't wait for the Ubuntu phone

I have an android, and have never had issues with battery life. This could be because I have data and GPS disabled at all times, I get my Internet from WiFi . It usually has about 50% charge at the end of the day. If I disable WiFi then it lasts for two days sometimes

Only thing is that it isn't as fast as I'd like.

Motorola Defy btw, possibly the only smartphone to be waterproof right out of the box

My sister had a pink razor v3. Must have been about 5 or 6 years ago? It looked cool but it was such a crap phone. I hated all old motos. My first proper phone was a Sony Ericsson F500i, back in 2004. It was a beast of a phone back in its day; 0.3MP VGA camera haha.
