Smart client error

close thread, its my computer that is messed up nothing can be done.


hey guys, this error keeps happening and fails to spawn a smart client. i have tried it on osrs website and with osbuddy.







i have searched around a bit but haven't really found anyone with a similar problem.

any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

and yes i have updated my java and tried a few things like that

wow. installing older version of java now.. and testing it out. didn't think it was required i just figured it was an out dated post

everything is set up properly aside i had the newest java version...

i am trying to download the 7u75 but it appears to not be wanting to download :s

i was just having internet issues, i have now uninstalled my new java and installed 7u75.

so far it hasn't worked going to restart computer and try again.

it now says windows can not find java.exe

even though it is for sure installed.

For both of you:

1. Uninstall all versions of Java on your computer
2. Reboot
3. Install a 32-bit (x86) version of Java 7 or 8, either works
4. Reboot
5. Attempt to spawn SMART again

The reboots in between are important, if you don't do them, your system will never get a chance to update its PATH environment variable

^ if i click run as a simba script it changes all my files to .simba and i have to mess with my REGISTY to get it to work again

I can run lape but not pascal, thats when I get the SMART client error. I do have Java 8 and also tried 7.

Seriously. You're still feeling the effects of the problem you created here.

Reinstall Windows, honestly it'll be faster and easier than trying to puzzle out what you broke, and fixing it.

alright, yea i kinda figured that's what was happening. thanks for the attempted help / second opinion.
