Well iirc, he plans on making Genesis his full time job after release. *shrug*

He'd better start his advertising campaigns and partnerships now.

Or he's going to end up with a superadvanced, enterprise-grade product and a small, mostly teenage client base.

Good luck making a living selling such a product to people whose main medium of monetary transaction are parents' credit cards & leftover pizza funds.

Idk, RSBuddy made good money that way. All jokes aside, are you referring to the current community or the people who will flock over after release?

RSBuddy operated during an era when RuneScape (and thus, cheating) was at its height. You can't compare then to now.

The RS community as a whole has shrunk. Jagex as a business isn't doing as well as they were five years ago.

Thusly, cheating has declined as Jagex turns their focus to killing bots, implementing MTX, and launching pathetic "player-powered" campaigns to breathe life back into their game.

I think talking about the "people who will flock over" upon release of your product is a very bold statement to make. Not just for RiD, but for any member of the RS underground scene in 2015.

What people? There's not even enough people "flocking" to the game itself, much less to a specific cheating site.

You're taking my words too literally brah. I was not being serious with the bit about RSBuddy, hence why I said, "All jokes aside." I think you also over analysed when I said flock. I was simply implying that the community would grow compared to what it is now. Now, one bit you're missing is that RiD is aware that RS is dying. That's why he's been building Genesis with the intention of branching out to other games over time. Hence, the death of RS is not really a wall, more like a hurdle.

The second phase of testing has begun. I can't say exactly what is being tested, but we should have some functional bot creation later in this phase or next phase. Thus far we've just been making sure key features function accurately before throwing everything together.

Appreciating the updates, at least. Without you, I'd have forgotten about this by now. Please do keep up with the updates!

This thread is better than the thread posted over on RID. I still think it's a much longer way away from being released to regular users to purchase and use successfully at all but we will see.

Very excited for its eventual release, whenever that may be. Botted 500+ hours there in the past!

Just a quick update. We're still in phase 2 but everything is working better than expected.

No idea how you came to that conclusion Trent. Most people testing have had trouble.

Your second sentence is incorrect. Out of the people having issues, of which are not "most" of the testers, it is user error that is giving them problems. Next chance I get I'll run testing in the same areas where the people having issues were. If it works for me then it proves the issues are user-sided.

Clearly Genesis not working on my desktop, only on my VM is user-error. Just because it works on your end, doesn't mean there's nothing wrong with it. That's just plain ignorance.

A lot of people are having issues, don't try to hide it behind "They're just being stupid and don't understand how to setup RiD" I stopped testing it because it has too many issues. Was going to wait until Phase 3 comes around with hopefully most of the bugs fixed.

Phase 2 Genesis is working for some, and not working for others. The issues mainly come from Genesis detecting RS3, but other than that I've heard Genesis is working pretty well at detecting world items, environments, and actions. Some areas Genesis plays up, and i'm sure RiD is taking note of those Areas.

I'll go back to hiding behind my wall and ignoring this thread, I just couldn't stand Trent's ignorance.

No need to be so aggressive. Most of my testing has been with OSRS, so let me change my original statement: Genesis phase 2 is working well with OSRS; however most of the problems that are occurring are happening on RS3.

Lol. No offense but RID is garbage.

It's all marketing and gimmicks with nothing fancy. I remember Rid first came out I had bought a subscription or whatever it was, I got banned within days. No offense but Rid is a waste of everyones time and money.

Never paying for that junk again, and hope others wont either.

Wouldn't say it's garbage, although I do agree it has Apple level marketing, making the decent appear monumental. I had nothing but good experiences using RiD software before I discovered SRL/learned how to script. Now I would never go back, it's silly in my opinion to pay for what RiD does when you could easily make it here in a few lines.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience!

Cause comparing an original product from 8 years ago to a modern version makes so much sense.

Trent makes a very valid point, 3D texture recognition wasn't even around 8 years ago

My bad, did not know of that rule. My apologies.

Sorry for being so bitter, and I mean no offense, I just personnally would not purchase RiD products again after that experience. Again, I mean no offense and sorry if I came off as offputting.

Very true. Before I say anything else I would need to try the scripts.

RiD let us know that he has gathered enough information from Phase 2. Phase 3 should begin in the near future.

No. Alpha testing has 3 or 4 phases (depending on how testing goes). Once these phases of Alpha testing are complete, then Beta testing begins. Initially, Beta will be accessible by VIPS and Heroes. After some time Veterans will have access. After that the full release will be made. Genesis will be free for a short period of time after full release so everyone will be able to try it initially without having to pay for it. After that time period is over there will be free trials available, and these will replenish every month as long as the user uses it all up each month.
