Hi, this is a guide on how to ask for help in the help section. Villavu is a open source community so it is probably one of the best type of communities to ask for help with problems. But there are a few things you should and shouldn't do when asking for help. I, personally, have made over
60-70 help threads asking people to help me with errors and problems.

What not to do
When you ask for help, remember, people here
Don't have to help you.
- don't "attack" people trying to help you. If you do that you will receive a big fat infraction:
- Give up and post vegue information about the problem your having
- Get mad
- Don't post the thread, and then leave for a few hours, if somebody is trying to help you they want to know if the solution the posted is helping or not
What to do
- Act polite (You don't have to be an ultra christian or anything... just have decent manners)
- If you are having an error with your script,
POST THE SCRIPT
- If you are having trouble with a script your trying to run, post the error inside of the script's thread instead of starting a whole thread
- Thank someone when they help you, this let's people know the problem is solved and also makes them feel good
- Use the search button to see if the problem your having is the same as someone else's so you can see the solution on the thread they made
OR post on that thread that you are having the same problem.
- Use the "Reply with Quote" button so the person helping you gets a notification and they can quickly navigate back to the thread
- If the problem your having can be solved by a specific person put their name in mention tags found here:
This notifies the person that they have been mentioned, and they will quickly click the notification and rush to the thread, lets test it out:
@
YoHoJo
@
Sin
As you can see, I just mentioned YoHoJo an Sin, pretty soon they will come rushing to this thread
