    Default This is worrying

This phish email has my accounts username...

What doesn't make sense is that this email is private, and nobody RuneScape related has it.
And if they somehow had it, they should know that my account is banned, so why exactly would you phish a banned account?
Lol, another thing that's scaring me is that it rerouted to the Loyalty program page, after passing through a subdomain of 'echo7.bluehornet.com'
It got my hopes up :L

    http://www.webutation.net/go/review/...bluehornet.com

the @e.runescape.com is the thing that gets me.

I thought they were legit first.

I got the same email, however I did really just get the 5000 points it said I got and my total points are correct. Bluehornet does seem to be a legitimate email campaign company although there are some people saying the have also sent out spam email. The only way to get the info in the email would be to already have access to my account and if they already did then why even bother with the email?

I don't think is phishing, but be safe and delete.

I'm fairly sure that it is a legit email from Jagex, (When I made an account it was sent from e.runescape.com (From bluehornet)

But as Hobbit said, better to be safe and just delete

So things we learned today, Jagex is retarded and awards Loyalty Points to banned accounts?

    Hmm interesting...
When they address you with your real ign then it has to be legit.
Of course I always say, be careful still and go to the official rs page.

EDIT: I got the same thing, and it might be real, but still don't go through it.

Got the same email too, on the exact same date when I bought a PIN from Benny.

I guess this is legit, but that bluehornet thing got me wondering too. :P

Some kinds of emails are sent from @e.runescape.com and the links in these emails are redirected links from eco7.bluehornet.com and some other webhost sites.

When you request a password change you get email from e.runescape.com too.

This is kinda annoying to be honest, I have no idea why Jagex does this.

tbh, I get quite a lot of these mails.

But for Runescape it's quite OK, you should play WoW for a couple years and then it's crazy.
I get 10+ WoW related phishing mails per day (wasn't related to any botting/rwt community on WoW)
