No one uses corrupt dragon armour in f2p, it's more used to flip/merch

The best armour for runescape is a broad term as it depends on where you are as monsters have specific weaknesses now so you have to adapt but the game is still recorded a mostly melee favored game with the release of level 90 Drygore weaponry as it just tears through anything except monsters highly resistant to melee such as Gano's and Ice Strykers.

Generally speaking Full void is the best offensive melee armour as it gives a 10% boost to DPS albeit at the price of horrible defence, I've also conducted some tests with void, comparing it to full sayer helmet since it was nerfed (12.6% boost in dps compared to 15% pre eoc) on bosses. Void seems to perform almost as good as FSH over a period of 2k zammy kc in gwd using momentum, FSH seemed to only be better by around a measley 1/2% so I'm certain void also has an accuracy boost as well as a damage equalling to around ~11%.

Most people use Torva for such activities as PVM as the full set has a very nice defense bonus compared to void which has, armour: 445 Lp:2903 meanwhile Torva set has, armour: 2280 Lp: 4800.
Torva set has a 74 damage per hit factor which equals to an 8% increase in dps, which most people argue is not a lot but than again it still speeds up kills even if it is by a small fraction.
This also leads on to why one of reasons people use Zaryte bow over Royal as it gives a small damage increase and is less of a hassle with arrows, albeit more expensive.

For defensive melee armour Superior Tetsu is best and is comparable to level 85 hybrid armour but for some reason you get torn apart more with a full set of vanguard than Tetsu same with seasinger/battlemage etc... Need to investigate that but don't have the full set yet because fist of guthix is dead.

It's a similar story with mage and range can't be bothered to write anymore as nearly everyone just cares about melee due to Drygores.

The answer is definitely yes. If no one ever used them, there would be no market for them.

That post most definitely needs a TLDR

Doesn't Corrupt Dragon get damaged after use?

You are right, I looked up the prices and those are not used for alching as i thought. Weapons are really expensive

Yeah, they are. I assume they're used by people who have a lot of cash, want to PK, and either don't want a membership or have a membership and just want to stomp over people who can't get as good gear as them.

TL: DR: Attacking Nex sets/Void > everything else
Tanking Port armour > everything else
sidenote: Dg shields are currently the best shields in game for tanking beating spirit shields but shields suck in general.

As for corrupt dragon pieces they degrades on being worn, so isn't viable at all.

    Haha cheers for that.

I suppose you can't really describe Corrupt Dragon as being the best for F2P if you plan on doing long stints of combat in that case, so it'd have to be Rune.

Yeah, the degrading thing is a huge disadvantage for F2P, and they disappear completely after the 30 minutes. I would get it if it was like FoG armor where you can recharge them when they wear out.

I don't even see a point to corrupt dragon when it disappears after use. Kinda dumb. Oh well.
I still like to use Gano, it's not the best but it does its job.
Ill be trying to get the Port armour soon. Its the best armour around.

Void mage is the best for maging, port armour is just ahrims/gano with more life points offering no real damage bonus.

Another thing which I have to mention if you plan to mage I'd advice using Virtus book + Wand if not use virtus book with either wand of treachery/Ahrims as virtus(You don't want your accuracy to be below that of a level 70 weapon so no master wand) book is for damage and wands only for accuracy.

    Example setup:

    Virtus wand + book,
    Full mage void,
    Arcane stream necklace,
    Seers ring(i),
Completionist cape (3% crit), God cape (2.5%), Max cape (2.2%) or any skill cape (2%).

    As for staff choice.

Chaotic staff = Level 80 book + Level 70 wand.

    Sorry if I bore you.
