I've not used any bots other than Simba, but I vote for TriBot because I think OGL is really cool

I assume (excluding AR) this list is limited to RS2 programs? If not then you're missing quite a few titles. Of the RS2 bots listed I'd say Aryan; I was always a fan. Indeed I've had a couple of accounts banned from it as well.

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

    ^^^

I don't even need to reply to threads after Olly has <3

Nexus had it all, the user-friendliness and script quality, decently fast hook updates and etc

Programming is like trying keep a wall of shifting sand up, you fix one thing but somewhere else starts crumbling

Could be but it has been proven that, when updates happen in Rs, Epicbot comes up faster and it gives everyone a random ID. Well this ID is the same one you get for powerbot which updates after epicb...

What was the *first* mainstream botting resource everyone used? I started botting last year so I know the recent botting ways like Simba, PB, Epicbot.

Well Nexus used to be really popular. It was also my favorite.

Could someone fill me in on what iBot was? I thought it was the same as nexus all this time.

As i recall, nexus and ibot were the same. ibot from impsoft... which was nexus... which was the snellman brothers.
As with the majority of people before, im going with nexus. That thing was beautiful. Scripts were... I cant even begin to say how great/awesome they were. The only downfall was the cost of them. I bought 10 total, ranging from combat to RC. All training ones, never goldfarming/money making ones though really.

What happened to it? Did it evolve into PB or something?

My first one was SCAR, back when there were still about half a dozen separate competing includes.

They got the pants sued off of them by Jagex and had to shut down.

Oh, that sucks. Funny how Jagex can't get PB down though.

So from what I hear, Nexus was a miracle bot. Did all the scriptors/developers just abandon it after it fell? Seems like they were a talented bunch.

When Jagex won, Impsoft was required to turn over all of their user and developer information. Trying to revive a project that had just been successfully sued when your information had been turned over to the guys doing the suing would have been...stupid, to say the least.

The client was no longer accessible/allowed to be used + bot nuke happened which brought down all injection bots.

Scripters from Nexus moved onto RSBuddy, when that was abandoned, some moved onto script for powerbot.
There used to be around 10-20 script writers for nexus, around 5 joined rsbuddy, and now there about 2-3 left on powerbot.

The only other bot I used was rsbot.net/org? Their pyramid plunder + Soul Wars bot got me all my 99's. Worked flawlessly.
