Getting raged at by others on 77 only lasted for about a day or two? Wasn't even that long till I got the hang of it and then I started hosting and had quick floors.

By dging on 77, I basically made a semi-permanent team of people who were maxed/near my level. And stayed there till I got 120. He can do the same, getting pointed out for the mistakes someone makes will eventually make the person not commit the mistake in the future.

Besides, whats wrong with 'randoms'? They shouldn't even be considered 'randoms' once you've been dging with them for a few days and get familiar with how player x is at dging compared to player y. You can even add them, get to know them better, and making friends like that makes dging fun.
Yeah, I only dung with friends occasionally. I find that randoms are usually faster (high level randoms that is), friends seem to slack off a bit

Haha yeah, and friends sometimes get boring/repetitive after awhile

Thats why I did it with different randoms, made new friends, and so on. Made the whole training to 120 fun :P

I was so exited about sailing :| I hope they don't give up on sailing.

What about the other skill being Riding what you guys think? Would it be cool to have horses in the game? Personally I don't think it would be a good idea.

Archaeology in Runescape, how would that work...

You dig with your trowel and excavate PNA pottery, you re-arrange your pots by typology, congratulation! your Archaeology level is now 2!.

Edit: How about this: you start digging in a horizontal path - you get a random event: (Menacing Ghost: Think about the stratigraphy!!) you die during combat to the random event (maybe like a Kathleen Kenyon look a like from her physique during the year 1953 or 1935).

And once you go up levels, you'll have to re-organize a lot of pottery and rebuild them (re-attach,Rims,Base,necks,body and restore some), then you'll have to date your finds, guess it would be too much to add PPNA or PPNB ware/architectural finds, so something like PNA or Ubaid period or even further into Chalcolithic would be a good 'start' point, then expand to the latest being (in accordance to the British law) the year 1700.

So it would cover EB,MB,LB,Iron1,Iron2A,Iron2b,(Proto-Geometric, and Geometric periods), Persian,Hellenistic,Roman,Byzantine, Early Islamic pre 749 Earth-Quake (mostly would be buffed war and FBW),Abbasid, Fatimid, all the way to Medieval and upto Ottoman and American pottery.

I don't know much about European or American Chronology, although i do read articles about south america excavations, still would be an awesome skill and would be HELLA EDUCATIONAL!, because current runescape doesn't teach anything....

Maybe even build your own Kiln, fire up all pottery with the right degree to produce the right chromatic colors... WOuld be awesome... If it was in game i would be firing up Enameled and gilded glass, then adding more colors and re-firing to produce the rank (blazon) for my clan symbol XD
