    Default JP's Stock Picks

I am newish to stock trading, at the moment I am trying to figure out how to play speculation.

I had an initial investment of 2000$ and I use TDAmeritrade.

I will most likely keep to penny stocks, I enjoy the risk behind it.

Penny stocks are VERY volatile, they fluctuate all the time!

    Code:
    Current Picks
    Name/NYSE/Buy Price/Shares
    FUSE/DROP/.13/2000
    NXHZ/NXHZ/.005/100000
    Nanotech/NTEK/40000/.016

    Code:
    Past Picks
    Name/NYSE/Buy Price/Shares/Sell Price
    Goff/GOFF/.45/1500/.28/-244.47
    Green Inovations/GNIN/1.31/500/1.19/-60
    Xuii/Xuii/2500/.37/.355/-37
    PPMIQ/PPMIQ/2500/.151/.225/+187

    Blog
Goff: First stock buy, fell for the oldest trick in the book. A pump and dump. Foolishly believed the hype, ended up paying for it.

GNIN: Did my own research, though it would go up, I was wrong lol

Fuse: Is a long term stock that I will hold for a while. Will dump at .08 so the most I can lose is 40$

XUII: This is a pump and dump, but I know about the strategy now. Get out after .65 cents and all my losses should be made up for Might be a tad to optimistic.

PPMIQ: Did a quick flip, bought and sold within the hour.

6/14/2013: Made 1600$ this week, made a 100% increase in my account

    MY CURRENT PICK!
My current pick for now it NXHZ, it is listed as a communication company, however it is a uranium company. They are expected to release a huge press release that should shoot the pps up and investors should be able to make a pretty easy 100-400% gain.

Also NTEK is a company that has developed a way to stream 4k video quality to any device.

Never heard of these stocks, because my parents don't invest in penny stocks, I don't think I would either.

Rather find a low price stock on the S&P 500 or DJIA and stick to that for a bullish/bearish move

Looked up those stock symbols, none of them seemed familiar. Also, what are you using to buy the stocks? As in program, broker, etc

I have always been interested in trading stocks in my free time, but have never had the know how, or amount of money needed, to start doing it.

How much starting capital did/do you have? What programs do you use? Are you going to stick only to penny stocks or are you going to branch out once you are confident?

Thanks for the answer. I know that in high school we did a stock trading game and only 2 of us used penny stocks and in 8 weeks we made a 40% profit. The chance for massive profit is there, but so it the chance for a massive loss.

I wish you all the best with your stocks. Does TDAmeritrade allow you to set your sell price and it automatically sells once the stock hits that price, or am I thinking of a different company?

How much do the trading fees make up of your total turnover?

    Ahh, the penny stock pics.

I traded stocks for a few years; wasn't much into penny stocks. I traded mid-large cap growth stocks mainly.

As a cautionary note to any SRL forum members who might like to try their hand at trading stocks: Penny stocks are EXTREMELY speculative and dangerous. While they can definitely be fun and exciting, be willing to experience a loss of 100% of your capital before making any penny stock trades.

That being said, I'll have to check out your picks, I've never come across those companies before

All stocks involve some risk, I'm not in this to make huge gains. I like the feel of the "game" trying find out the market.
