Anyone else got ban too? Seems like lot of people on other botting sites gettin banned.

From what I know, this ban wave started a long time ago. Like two to three weeks before RS3 was released.
Did u use powerbot?
Creds to DannyRS for this wonderful sig!
stop botting people wait out the ban wave
I botted to 86 divination so far :S No bans.
There is no such thing as "IP Flagging".. Not sure why devs and a whole bunch of you guys throw around that statement.
Jagex isn't stupid enough to flag an "IP".. They'd more than likely just flag your account and monitor it. Changing the IP won't change anything as I've seen suggested in other posts.
Wonder how come OP got banned though..

I have not been banned through all these ban waves only used simba and it has gotten me 17 99s although I don't bot as much as I use to.

How do you know? If I were in their shoes I would surely monitor an IP of an account that's been caught macroing. It doesn't mean they ban all accounts linked to that IP, just heavily monitor them for, at least, a set amount of time. Yes there's a chance someone innocent would be banned, but the chance of busting a chain of botted accounts and/or gold-farmers is even greater, and IMO (if I were Jagex) that's well worth the risk.
Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]
"I won't fall in your gravity. Open your eyes,
you're the Earth and I'm the sky..."
This ban wave will not cease. I can tell you that much. From all my time in runescape there has never been a span of time this long where bots have been so rarely seen. Only personal scripts and bankstanders are really around anymore.
Pretty much. I doubt Jagex wants to play a game of cat and mouse with the major bot developers anymore where they ban a ton of bots, and then leave them alone, and then ban them again. Jagex obviously has the capabilities now to keep a constant pressure on the bots.
I know this because a simple router restet would change the game.. Simple IP renewal would change it.. Proxies, VPN's..
Ipconfig /release
Ipconfig /renew
No gaming company would monitor an IP address.
If an account was caught doing something bad, flag all accounts on the IP at that specific time. When the user changes their IP, the flag is still on the account; not the IP.
I would love to know where you guys came up with this IP flagging theory from.
If you were in their shoes?
If you flag someone's IP, your company is on the road to failure.

If they flag IPs and ban even non-botted accts wouldn't they ban innocent players at cafes etc? I remember a jmod (Andrew iirc) had said that they dont do IP bans because it would be unfair to innocent players using the same network. (and he gave a recount of his own experience of which his university's IP got banned from some site and hence caused inconvenience to him)
Anyway, I've been botting quite a bit for the past few weeks, using my ogl scripts for divination/fighting, never had any ban with simba. Just dont use any bot client.
I noticed I gained 500 ranks on some skills with no XP change. I take this to be a sign of banned accounts or rollback?
On the IP issue, I agree that outright IP banning is not likely but they would be smart to monitor suspect IPs. The IP is basically all you know about someone connecting to you from a network level.
Changing your IP is not as simple as release/renew. Your internal IP at home is not what they see, they see the routable public IP that most likely comes from something like your cable modem. Most ISPs give a consistent IP to their customers and this would not change with device resets. Sure, someone with smarts can proxy/vpn. However, most people are clueless as to how the internet works.
It is statistically likely that most accounts only show up from one IP (with regularity) and most IPs are only associated with one (or a few) accounts.
As to how they could instaban without using IP, they could be checking machine footprint and basing it on that.
One possible way:
Someone report one of your players (bots). Jagex check how many players are logged in from IP/MAC of this account. If they see its more then one/two then they do manually or automatically bot check.
From my experience:
*I have full failsafes included
*I bot on random free places
*I regulary change acivities
*I use something like autotalker synchronised by sqlite database to talk in clan chat.
*I use other bots reporting
still got banned almost on all accounts..
Now I bot only 2-3 accounts :/
Iv had accounts that used the same bot and everything banned on an ip after a few weeks, then changed my IP in fear of them flagging it but it took the same amount of time. not sure if that will help you all understand their system any better.
I believe its a combination of a lot of things, I also believe that Jagex can see a lot more than just your IP address and MAC Address even though changing those two is a good start for complete protection spoof your computers HWID.
My previous main got banned using powerbot during the ban wave this summer. Now (like 6 months later) I'm using simba on a new account on the same machine (different IP, got dynamic IP), and didn't have any issues yet.
