    Nah, if the Artic Land is all ice & snow then it must be fresh water; if it was salt it wouldn't freeze.

    Yes it does freeze. Got polar ears and igloos in the backyard . Lol.

    But yeah I've seen salt water freeze at -45 degrees over here.. Takes a bit longer but it freezes alright.


    However:

    A urine stream can freeze in the cold of winter. --- Busted --- When tested in a freezer at -70 °F (-57 °C) the fake urine stream the MythBusters used did not freeze in midair.
