Default Correct RuneScape settings for botting with SRL-6

With the release of SRL-6 comes new settings for RuneScape in order for the include to work correctly

    • Load the RuneScape 3 client in a Internet Browser(Firefox, Chrome, Safari) - http://www.runescape.com/game
Once you are at the RuneScape 3 login screen, you need to click on the little cog (highlighted in RED in the image) in the top right of the game client

    • Once you have the Options interface up, Click on "Resizeable" first then click on the "Custom" button second.

    • When you click "Custom", another interface will show, Make sure your settings are the same as the image below

    • Display Mode: OpenGL
Brightness: Slider all the way to the right
CPU usage: Maximum* Remove roofs: Always
Ground Decoration: Off Idle animations: Few
Flickering effects: Off Character shadows: Off
      Fog: Off Lighting detail: Low
      Custom cursors: Off Anti-Aliasing: None
      Skyboxes: Off Particles: Low
      Ground blending: Off
      Max screen size: Any
      Mouseover text: On

*NOTE: You can set the CPU usage however you like. Maximum for best script usage. Minimum to effect your computer usage less.
    • Once you have the same settings, click the Back button.
    • Close out of RuneScape.
    • Load SMART 8.3 up
    • Re-check settings once the login screen has loaded.
    • Login to RuneScape and recheck the settings in game. This can be done by clicking on the Cog icon.

    • Click on Graphics Settings

    • Check to make sure the settings are the same as above, if not, correct settings.

In order for SRL-6 to correctly function, you will need to use the 'Retro' interface set-up for RuneScape with some modification. To get the 'Retro' interface layout,
    • Click the Cog in game

    • Click the 'Select a preset' dropdown button
    • Click the 'Retro' option

Once you are on the Retro interface layout, You need to insure that your interface transparency is at 0%, Slim Headers is ON and it is highly recommended to resize your minimap to match the same width as the inventory.

To set your Interface Transparency to 0% and enable Slim Headers:
    • Click the Cog in game
    • Select 'Interface Settings'
    • Tick the 'Slim Headers' box
    • Drag the slider for "Transparency" all the way to the left

**NOTE: You need to have hide titlebars when you have your interface lock disabled**

Once you have those settings, Close out of that interface. Now it's time to resize the minimap to the same width as your Inventory.
    • Drag the left hand side of your minimap and it should 'snap' into place when it gets close to the inventory.

All in all, your RuneScape screen should look like this

If you are still having issues please post here or in the correct section of the forums.

    Happy botting!

Justin, that the "Hide Title Bars when locked" must be UNCHECKED.

(creds to @footballjds for noticing this)

After successfully applying all of these changes. My runescape interface now looks like this (ignore fancy editing):

There's miles of space between the inventory and minimap, I assume this gap is to be naturally closed and not via interface editing.

Yes I have done everything correctly. Selecting Fixed for screen sizing seems to make it too small while selecting Resizable does this.

Yes I have followed the instructions correctly. Is this how it should look like? Because it looks different to what you posted.

Also, aint been on RS for a while, wth is that little bird in the middle of my screen and how do I get rid off it.

You want to hit the retro button, should move everything for you.

You can also do 3d game editing.

That's an ability that's supposed to be in the ability bar...why it's randomly floating in the middle of your screen is just odd...I didn't even know that could happen...

Lol I moved it to the middle so u guys could see it.

Any idea on how I can get rid of this 'ability bar'?

P.S - Everything seems to scale when opened in SMART, so no real problems there.

You have to open the ability bar by clicking the - in the right hand corner of that left box thing. Then you move that ability into the trash icon. You can't get rid of the whole ability bar, the best you can do is minimize it like it's already done.

This is actually now outdated. @Justin; let me know when/if you update and I'll move it out of the outdated section.
