    Default Superb Heater

    22 Mar 2015: Might be broken, if anyone wants to check and fix it I can post the updated one

    Superb Heater
    by Widget

    Features
    - Superheats steel bars.
    - Uses efficient (human-like) withdrawing. Not sure why I never see this.

    Known issues
    - SRL bank opening picks random booths each time.
    - No random support. I'm not sure if this is even an issue any more.

    Notes
    - This is my first RS script... I haven't written anything for RS in the 7½ years I've been here lol.
    - Have a fire staff or something equipped.
    - Nats go in the first inventory slot.
    - Have coals and irons visible from where in the bank when you open it.
    - Please post progress reports or issues.

    Download
    - superb_heater_1.0.simba

    Here's a test run:
    Code:
    =============================================
                    Superb Heater
       Ran for 34 Minutes and 18 Seconds
       Made 738 bars, 1291 per hour
       Gained 12915 smithing xp, 22592 per hour
       Gained 39114 magic xp, 68421 per hour
    =============================================
    Addendum: I also found this script which was never posted properly. You may want to give it a try as well.

    Nice release!

    First RS script, eh? That's interesting. I don't recall seeing you around during my time here. What were you involved in prior to RS?

    I tended to just mess around with forms and hang around in the SRL IRC a lot. I guess my most impactful thing would suggesting the name Simba to Wizzup as the successor to SCAR. I quit RS a few years back and am still mostly-quit but I still talk on IRC every now and then.

    That's pretty cool. Congratulations for releasing your first script then, hope to see you in IRC soon.

    Also,

    Simba Code:
    // Note: No random support yet, if that even matters. If you're worried,
    // then do it somewhere without randoms.

    I was under the impression that randoms were removed from 07? Is that not the case?

    EDIT: Here's a suggestion for you, Die() currently terminates the script, why not log out if possible, then terminate? That way you're not standing there until you get logged out automatically.

    Thanks

    I think randoms are still there, just you're allowed to ignore them without repercussions now, which I usually do when playing legit.

    And good point, I'll change that for next version. It tended to die half the time I ran it as I was testing so I didn't bother.

    (Also, I wanted this to have PHP-like (DoThingThatShouldReturnTrue or Die())-style syntax but apparently you can't do that in Pascal.)

    Oh right, now I remember. I'd just ignore them to, so you probably don't even need to add random support tbh.

    And no, Pascal can't do that afaik.

    Sweet release! Couldn't really focus on reading the script since the function/procedure names were so funny haha

    Should auto update, takes the average selling offer for the value per super heat, and then the average buy offer for the price of a steel bar

    Tl;dr, the profit/loss will be your min profit or max loss

    Yo guys,

    idk what I'm doing wrong, but the script won't start to superheat

    If I start with iron/coal in inventory it bank it and then stops, gives me this message:
    Code:
    =============================================
                    Superb Heater
       Ran for 0 Seconds
       Made 0 bars, 0 per hour
       Gained 0 smithing xp, 0 per hour
       Gained 0 magic xp, 0 per hour
    =============================================
    Got stuck: Couldn't find any iron.
    So lost. What do.
    Succesfully freed SMART[14304]
    Successfully executed.
    This is what my bank looks like:

    Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? ;o
