Default Oracle path does not exist?

Hi, I recently decided to get back into RS and reinstalled Simba I was using HoodzFighter with no problem but now that I want to use a fishing bot im having trouble getting anything to work (the SMART Client)

I get the following error every time I click to start.

    Code:
    C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe
The Specified path does not exist

Check the path, and then try again
I've tried completely removing Java and re-downloading, I've set the Enviormental Variables from a guide on here as well as Google search, I've tried different version of Java (7) etc, when I right click the Java file in the oracle folder its pointing to the correct folder so now I'm completely clueless on what to try next any help would be appreciated

That's a pretty unusual java path. It's usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin" or close.

You should be getting your java from here.

    Anything else strange?

I just removed all traces of java and did a fresh install following your link, It still gives me the same error above even though my java is installed here

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin"

when I go into "C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe" there are 3 files they look like short cuts, when looking at there properties there targets are "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin", my Environment Variables PATH looks like this C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;C:\WINDOWS\sys tem32;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin

Try taking that out of the path. I have that folder (and java 7 not 8) and mine is empty.

    Code:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin
I assume you already know this since you told us your path, but...

I removed it from the path and it did the same so I went into "C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe" and deleted the java.exe shortcut file in there and all is working now, Thanks you for your help Bonsai.

I Had a massive fuck about with getting SMART to start.. It would not spawn a client even though I had the latest java. I Finally Fixed it though.

"C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath" had shortcuts which did not work
I Removed the environment variable I previously set, they were useless.

Installed Java 7 and now it works.. Yay

i know this is old but i had the same problem recently and the fix is here but i'll just make it clearer:

    Step one: go HERE

Step Two: Change "path" "C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin" or whichever path you have to your java.exe

step three: Reinstall simba because you'll get some weird errors (or atleast i did with AeroLib)

    Enjoy,
