Default Have there been any huge changes within the past 5-6 years?

Hey everyone, been a while since I was here. I haven't botted or played Runescape in years - I've recently decided to get back into it a bit, and was wondering if there have been any huge changes (other than the changes to Runescape itself and related changes). Is it still the typical be smart, don't bot 24/7 on one account, etc as it was back then? Or are there extra precautions (or fewer precautions) that need to be taken now?

    Thanks in advance!

For RS3, we use SMART v8.3 which supports OpenGL and DirectX graphics modes, as opposed to using safe mode. They implemented a new automated bot detection system which has made classic goldfarming methods more ban-heavy. Overall the advice remains the same - make sure your scripts are good quality, unique, and keep your playing times realistic (total legit + botting).

Additionally, with social media platforms like Reddit surging in popularity for RS3/OSRS discussion, there is a lot more (relative) awareness of bots and manual action taken by JMods as a result.

Although the legit playerbase (from many posts I've read) still seem pretty clueless as to how powerful bots can actually be.
