Exclamation Java Version Changed. Need Help

    http://s3.postimg.org/jj5xklx5f/kkkkk.jpg

I get that every time I run a script now.

I was updating java to run another program for school and accidentally let it uninstall previous versions of java.

I am convinced this is the cause of the error being seen.

Which version of java do I need to download and install for it to work again?

    Thanks.

    That's not the issue.

I have the latest version of JRE.

That's what was installed today to prompt this change.

I was running simba before the update.

    Simba broke after the update.

Can I actually get some help with this? I'm starting to regret supporting the scripts that I have already helped monetarily when I can't even get support on something that seems simple for those who have been here for years.

This is also discouraging me and preventing me from continuing to fix/color swap, etc around 4 - 5 scripts that I have found in my small time on this forum that have OBVIOUSLY been abandoned by the authors (who you still see all over this site but refuse to comment on their own script threads, smh).

Frustrating to say the least. Especially for someone mainly just trying to help the community. I don't even play RS anymore but, I am fond of the projects I found here and what seemed to be a helpful community.

Note: I have never had a problem with Simba until yesterday when a plugin required me to update my Java JRE to the latest. It deleted the old version from the Program Files (x86) folder.

Now when I start simba, it attempts to load java (Update 31) from that spot, where it is not. Thus rendering me unable to enable smart and unable to run scripts. The very scripts that I have been working on for the community because it seems they have been abandoned by the authors (and only require minimal effort to fix) and scripts that I have donated to in order to see and utilize their further development.

I have uninstalled/re-installed both Simba and Java completely, including registry, leftover files, .dlls, etc. to no avail.

No matter what I do, i still get the error shown in the first post.

    Operating System: Windows 8

ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME SO I CAN GET BACK TO TRYING TO FIX THESE SCRIPTS SINCE NO ONE ELSE IS.

    Help Me; Help You.

It is possible during uninstall of the old java versions the uninstaller did not clean your path correctly, so there is still a reference to your old Java version. Can you take a look at 'Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> Advanced system settings (in the left column) -> button 'Environment Variables'. In the field with system variables there will be a variable called 'Path'. If you click Edit you can check if here are still some references to the old (uninstalled) java version. These should be removed or changed to the new version.. I hope this will help!

Try uninstalling and then deleting ALL java directories (such as C:/Program Files/Java (x86 and x64)). I am inclined to agree with wallie. I also recommend revouninstaller. It is free and great software.
