    Default My New Computer! Warning: Dangerously Sexy ;)

    Hey everyone! After posting about the computer I wanted to get, I finally got the parts and spent a couple days putting her together!! Here are some specs for you guys

    CPU : Intel Xeon e3-1231v3 (3.4GHz, quad core, hyperthreaded)
    GPU: GeForce GTX 970 (for dem ogl bots!)
    Storage: Samsung 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD
    PSU: 600 Watt block of power and stuff
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-HD3

    He has a good processor. That's basically a better-priced i7 without the integrated graphics, which some would argue makes it better than an i7.

    The cables are so tough to clean up
    They are like rigid snakes spewing out of the PSU. I'll try tonight though if it makes your soul happier @Turpinator;

    I got everthing on newegg except the processor (amazon). Overall it was just under $1000.

    Looks good man, I love the clean case. Have you done any stress testing yet? And are you going to overclock the CPU?

    I haven't heard of stress testing I might look into it. And Xeons are locked so no OCing

    No overclocking?! Sorry, but why would you get a CPU that can't even be overclocked? >.<

    My only suggestion (which is a little too late, but something to keep in mind for next time) is to get a modular PSU (a psu that allows to attach/detach cables that you need/don't need) which can REALLY help reduce all that clutter from a PSU, apart from that it looks nice, it is a shame about no O/Cing on the processor though!

    (guy didn't care about wire management so all stock.. he also had h100 at home so didn't want cooler)
