    Default VPS Help!

I was trying to install Runescape.msi on a VPS that runs Windows Sever 2012 R2 and it is now allowing me to do it. It gives me the "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". Can some one please help as to why am I getting this message? Simba installed perfectly and I was able to use SMART to log into rs.

You should be the administrator of your server. Open the management console and find the options that deal with allowing installation of MSI packages.

I'd give more precise instructions but I'm unacquainted with Windows Server. Regardless, there's a sanctioned option somewhere.

Tired everything that was mentioned in Google. I am the administrator but I am still having this problem. As for now, I am using SMART to log in to RS. Thanks for the info!

You might need to launch the MSI from Command Prompt (cmd.exe) running as Administrator

Assuming the RuneScape.msi is in your Downloads folder and you're logged in as Administrator:

    Start button
    'cmd'
Right-click on the program and click 'Run as Administrator'
In the cmd window (black box) type
    cd C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\
    [ENTER]
    then type
    RuneScape.msi
    [ENTER]
