Question How to download book in .pdf at play.google.com ?

    Hello guys,

I have a problem - I need to download a book I purchased at play.google.com as pdf. Atm I can only read this book in browser. I've tried to use some FF plugins, but it downloaded a book in completely unsorted way, with random pagination (image of each site is stored in browser cache, but filenames are all the same).
    Do you know any way?

I haven't tested this but it seems like it should work.

First follow steps 1-3 of this: https://aldiko.zendesk.com/entries/2...o-Book-Reader-
    And then this: http://www.epubor.com/how-to-convert...-pdf-free.html

There may be more direct ways too.

Unfortunately this tutorial seems to be outdated. I've only found a link to google FAQ, which also seems outdated:
    https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/179863

Under the menu I don't have an option to download a book:

I think I need some tricky way.

Try opening it in chrome. In the My Books section, clicking the triple dots definitely gives me a download as PDF option.

depending on the book, i have both the pdf and the epub, or one or the other. But of the books i have (only 6, all free at one point), there are none which wont let me download them.

    Sooo... maybe try contacting support?

I've got an email from support that some book don't have an option to be downloaded for eReader.

So yeah, I was correct that I need some tricky way any ideas?

I've found a plugin for FF, which let you extract files from browser cache. The problem is that each .png of book page has the same filename. When I extract book from the cache pagination is a total mess. I can't find a way to save pages in proper order.

If you download GooglePlayBooks app on iOS, you can ssh into the device, go to the application's directory and rip the book right off it (I've only done this for one book though). Not sure if you can do this on Android but you should be able to.

If you are on OSX, then just create a tiny application with an MKWebView and a page load listener and have it goto each page and download each pdf

What's the book called? Does each page have a different URL (possibly including the page number)? Does the image tags contain the page number or source? Link?

It's more than likely that if the issue is browser-specific, it will not happen on google's browser running one of google's "apps". Helps rule that out, especially when it would be one of the more frustrating errors to run into. Plus, if you want to try some js tricks to figure out what is going on, chrome comes with a console out of the box, Ctrl+Shift+I brings it up (I think you can download firebug for firefox, but I found it much more convenient to use chrome's). It's also something relatively easy/low-cost to do that could possibly work.

Try scihub mate, you might find what you're looking for there -- if you've bought it!
