    Default low fps

I have a decently powerful rig. run rs on ultra settings and get 60 fps. when running scripts, in paticular livid farm script, I start out at 30fps but within the hour go down to less than 10 which makes my xp/hr much lower. my cpu, gpu, and ram are all running at around 30-35 percent. cpu usage is set to max in rs settings. is there anything i can do to remedy this?

Not just scripts, running SMART on OpenGL in of itself drops the fps gradually. I don't know if there's any fix for it publicly currently unfortunately

Edit: Well besides what @acow; said ofcourse

Yes, the easiest probably being to run non-opengl dependent scripts & on directx.

Not exactly. In most cases, if you use the standard OpenGL plugin it works fine (i.e. color only). The FPS issues occur when you use the modified plugin and GLX (always been the case since 2013).

People that worked on OpenGL includes and scripts should have focus their time and energy on fixing the plugin first, as that really is the foundation of everything that follows. I guess it was tricky though, as the only people who actually used it were the people who didn't experience any lag. It's a shame as it could have turned into something really great, especially when combined with traditional color techniques.

is it possible to cap with vsync?

To cap FPS to monitors framerate. I think it is possible outside of the client through your graphics drivers, but not sure how.
