Default Simba Installation Guide [Updated 23-Nov-2016]

    SIMBA Installation Guide [Updated 23-Nov-2016]

This guide will help you install SIMBA for OSRS and help you install all the includes needed to run most of the scripts you'll run. Please point out if there are any errors in this guide. Feel free to share this guide and add onto it. I feel there is a much needed updated guide on installation for SIMBA and so I finally put this together. I'll be trying to keep this simple as much as I can for ease of newbies.

    1. Download the installer for SIMBA from http://simba.villavu.com/bin/Release...aInstaller.exe

    2. Make sure to install SIMBA in your C folder so that it will always have administration privileges.

    3. After installation, run SIMBA as an admin and make sure to check for any updates by going into Tools > Update in top menu bar.

    4. Next, in top menu bar select Interpreter > Lape. Make sure to always keep using Lape as that is the default language accepted by most of the scripts you will use.

    5. Next you need to enable some extensions. Go to View > Extensions and enable Associate.sex, Extension.sex, Security.sex and SRL.sex.

    6. Once you have enabled the extensions, you should now see new top bar menu named SRL, SPS and Plugins. Click on these 3 new top bar menu and select “Check for Update” one by one. Make sure to let each of these update solely before updating the other extensions. You should see update progress in the debug.

    7. Next we need to install the Includes that we will be using to run our scripts on. The most commonly used Includes are Aerolib and Reflection currently.

    8. Download Aerolib Include from (https://github.com/J-Flight/AeroLib/archive/master.zip) and extract the file “Aerolib-master” into your Simba Install Directory under the “Includes” folder. Make sure to rename your Aerolib file to just “Aerolib” as shown below.

    9. Now download the Aerolib Include’s Plugins (http://www.filedropper.com/aerolibplugins_1) Download the zipped Plugins from the link and extract them all to your Plugins folder (C:/Simba/Plugins/). Copy & Replace if asked.

    10. Now last part remaining is to install Reflection Include. Download Reflection (https://github.com/Elfyyy/OSR-Reflection) download the zip file. Extract the zip file to (C:/Simba/Includes/) and rename the folder to just “reflection”. Also download Prosocks.dll (https://github.com/Brandon-T/ProSock...5/ProSocks.dll) and copy/paste it into Simba’s Plugins folder. Copy & replace if asked.

    Troubleshooting Java errors:

Failed To Find Java.exe or Javaw.exe. Please add ...\JRE\Bin to your PATH environment variable.
    OR
    [AL] SMART cannot spawn client
This error usually comes when the SIMBA cannot find the Java in its default installation destination. Make sure you have Java installed in [C:\Program Files (x86)]
If the problem persists, try re-installing the Java 32 bit or 64 bit according to your own OS that you are running and make sure to choose the default install path. If all else fails, re-installing SIMBA always fixes this issue for me as this is re-occurs quite a bit for me for some odd reason.

Credits to @Flight; for using his images in the guide explaining the Aerolib Include installation.

Nice to see an updated version. Simple and clean, too.

It would be easier to get through if the pictures were actually displayed and you didn't have to click each one.
    Looks nice!

Chrome and windows defender have labelled the file as malicious.

Can we please get another link... one that works? From the "Aerolib Include" thread, they have the same issue with the malicious content but users have been asking for over 3 months now and still no working link :/

Try and download it in internet exporer.

It doesn't matter where you get it from, it counts it as malicious.

Hm never seen this kind of issue when I downloaded from the original link. Tried with internet explorer and same issue; claims that the file contains a virus and immediately deletes the file without any other option.

Not sure why they are making it as malicious.

If you want to use it, with Chrome open, press ctrl+j. You will see the download there with "This file is dangerous, so Chrome has blocked it."
Should be a button under it: "Keep dangerous file".

My AV has always flagged this file.
