    Default Help detecting tree's [color]

    Hey folks,

I have a lot of difficulty detecting certain types of trees.
So much that I decided the write a little app that would let you draw over trees and filter out all colors you drawn upon which also occur somewhere else in the image.
This will result in a new image with only the unique colors of the trees, little example:

    testing.jpg

Now I load this image in ACA2 and only select the unique colors hoping that only those would be selected but alas:

    testing2.jpg

My train of thought was that unique colors (not using best color in ACA) would result in the wanted effect but as you can see on the second image the Yew trees get selected but also the ground in the distance and the magic tree.

I assume that this has something to do with the hue and all that stuff.
I have had great success with other colored trees but these are too big of a challenge for me right now.
How would you guys go about doing this?

    Sounds like this: https://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110116

The problem is that your unique colors still have a wide range, and thus a high tolerance.
You could try splitting them up into 2 or 3 lower tolerance groups and combining the resulting TPAs.
