    Auto-telekinetic theatre script PLZ

    Telekinetic theatre is by far the most tedious (and longest) and mini-game in the mage training arena (not to be confused with mage arena which is different), but luckily probably the easiest to make a script for.

    Telekinetic theatre has about 7-8 mazes which are very repetitive and quite easy to solve. The maze is observable if you click the statue and by doing so, you can view the whole maze.

    The script will have to do the following to work (in order):

    1. Identify which maze (can be done using the map)
    2. Find statue
    3. Click statue=>turns into observe mode
    4. Turn run on
    5. Solve maze using telekinetic grab
    6. Click statue to start next maze

    and so on.

    Additionally there are zero, yes absolutely zero randoms while doing the mini-game so it shouldn't be too hard to make make this script. Also there are no people inside so auto-talk is not necessary; basically this script, if made, will be able to run hours on end without any problems.

    I will be grateful beyond comprehension if someone could make such a script. I am currently overwhelmed making my own crafting script, and can't take on 2 projects. If you make the script please remember to send me a copy (and maybe give a little mention of this being my idea).

    Thanks.

    If you need hi-res images of the mazes feel free to ask and I'll gladly provide them for you.

    @maxine

    Well if you bothered to actually fully read my post you'd learn that I am currently doing my own script and hence do not have the time to do two things at once (people have lives you know).

    Last time I checked this is the requests forum not the flaming forum. If you must criticize at least do so constructively. To be perfectly honest with you, you're not even a member so you shouldn't even be talking.

    @hugolord

    If you want we can discuss it on msn. My address is atomicbomb23@hotmail.com. I'd be more than willing to provide you with a member account.

    But first i'd like to know what kind of script's you've made before just so i know you're serious about it (i don't want to spend 1.1M for nothing).

    I'll be able to get a pin this weekend (Saturday).

    How does not being a member affect anything?

    Well it shows he doesn't have the superior credentials to criticize me for not "knowing how to script". If HE truly knew how to script well then he would be at least be member. Simply put, by not being a member he's being a hypocrite. He shouldn't preach what he hasn't done himself.

    You can know how to script well and not be an SRL Member, mate.

    Oh really! Well if you script well and you are not an SRL member then that simply means you are lazy because you haven't even bothered to send in your script for approval.

    For sake of argument, how about we prove that I am right the mathematical way?

    Axiom: All SRL forum members wish to become SRL members (can you think of anyone who does not want to be a SRL member? If so I admit I am wrong in my assumptions)

    1. To become an SRL member one must be a good scripter and create a worthy script for approval.

    2. If one creates a good script then one will indubitably use it on their SRL application and if he/she is good enough he/she will get accepted.

    Hence we can conclude that all good scripts lead to SRL membership. Since all good scripters want SRL membership then all good scripters with worthy scripts (if they are actually good enough) become members. Therefore if one creates worthy scripts then he/she is a member or in the process of becoming one.

    What if a person doesn't have time to write a good script? Just because they don't do something, doesn't mean they can't.

    You don't have to be a SRL member to be able to script. Many non-members can script quite well.

    People don't become SRL members only because of their scripting abilities, either. There are many that I have voted no to because they had bad attitudes.

    And remember some people *cough* jason *cough* just don't like writing scripts for runescape

    Back on topic, could you get some screenshots of the environment where the script would be running?

    PS: Don't start that argument up again. Either of you.

    "Thank you for your carefully articulated response"

    Please refrain from profanity; you should have learned at a young age that even if your argument is correct then swearing at people does not help. Also, you took what is said too literally; I was using an idiomatic expression; you can talk all you like its a free world. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

    Quite frankly I hoped this forum would be a bit more professional than people screaming and swearing at others; I guess I was wrong. Hopefully members area has a more welcoming atmosphere.

    Please don't go off topic anymore. I started a serious thread and I wanted to keep it that way. If you have anything constructive to add please do so in a civilized manner.

    @dan cardin
    yeah thats what I meant but more along the lines of "you can't script much better than I can". I don't usually criticize if I don't have any back up for my reasoning. Search for yourself and tell me if he should be talking. He has never published a single script (at least not here) and asks very noobish questions for which he could easily search for an answer:

    http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/sear...earchid=149731

    Anyway, how about we just forget about this, I can't be bothered to argue anymore.

    One a second note, thanks for the pertinent response to the topic at hand. If someone were to theoretically do this myself what kind of scripting would he/she have to do? How would the script recognize each of the separate mazes?
    I suppose the script would use some bitmap identification (with a certain error margin)on the RS mini-map but actually doing it would be beyond me (I'm doing a crafting script so not much overlap in knowledge). Also you'd have to ensure the compass was the same direction each time or the script would have to recognize the maze in different directions.

    This can be done, but wouldn't it be better to do the enchanting one, or the alching one?

    Never seen the enchanting one, but a while back, I did the alching one on a friend's account; wasn't too complicated.

    @arguement/flaming: stop. now.

    The thing is that the tele one is the most difficult one of them all if you are aiming for pizazz points (which=big $$$). If you want to level up then alching would be fastest way and enchanting would be cheapest way (cosmics<nats).

    It would actually be good if all 3 three were done (graveyard is a bit too difficult because you're being hit with 2 damage the whole time) but telekinetic takes absolutely ages lol. It takes a good 17 minutes per 18 points.

    Yes, stop flaming, there has been way too much lately...

    We are normally a good forum and dont flame much, unless a very stupid question has been asked. I thought everyone here (almost) was a guy, but it seems alot of people are "PMSing" all the time now.

    EDIT: Back on topic, this wouldnt actually be too great, because SCAR Lives on multiplayer, and I dont think that anyone would be willing to buy alot of members acounts, therfore lowering the antibannage, and making it alot easier to get banned.

    @3garrett3

    You must remember that it takes about 12hrs of manual work to get a mage's book which sells for 5.5M and is equivalent to 5 members pins. Also, there are no randoms at all so banning would only occur if you use bad scripting techniques which are very easily detectable. Additionally, some people can be seen doing the enchanting or alching all day (ALL DAY!! I've seen this myself) in order to level up mage to 99. Jagex actually expects people to spend outrageous amounts of time in the mage training arena. I personally sometimes go 4 hours nonstop in there doing the same thing over and over again, not talking to anyone.

    I think this is a rare case where banning won't be a major case if autoing for long periods of time with one character. I'd bet my main on it

    I guess. I would be willing to try a different one, are the other two any easier? The maze one looks a little complicated with all the angles and artificial intelligence. Are the othere ones simpler? I would need a members account if you wanted me to make one though *hint*
