I think that it was a semi good idea, im not entirely sure what was going on over there. But george bush said we'd be done out there in 2 years, now i think its been more like 4 or 5 years in there? And i know that we cant just all pull out of the country instantly, but we could do it slowly. Like when we first went there, i thought it was good, but now im thinking its bad. Plus we didn't find any WOMD's there, so why dont we leave, cause we mainly went there cause we were afraid they had WOMD's. I think we shouldve actually just went to afganistan for Osama cause he was the true one who actually harmed America.

Not all Al-qaeda are bad so I wouldn't say things like that.

Listen to Lewis Black on this topic. Its funny, and its true.

Oh, in case you don't know this, The first thing President bush did when he got into office was ask "How much money do I make doing this?" We replied, "About 200,000"
And then he gave himself a raise. The first president EVER to do this.

Also, one of the first few things he did was declare war, said they had WOMP, and guess what, we haven't found anything yet.

Oh and after he gave himself a raise, and all the stuff he did. We re-elected him...

Oh and Congress agreed on a 30 billion dollar tax cut. They thought it would stimulate the economy. Look at the states. They have no money in the first place, so what the hell are you cutting? You just made the money up you a**holes!

I think people are hypocrites really. All support then turn against. Lovely americans. I dunno. Someone had to get rid of saddam anyways even if we lied about it and crap. Im happy saddam is gone. If there is one good thing that came out of it its that. And people are so nieve at times about pulling out. Like first person said you cant just pull out. And even a slow pull out can be disaterious. You know what the people from black hawk down said? they said What a waste. WE went in there to help out, we lost men only to pull out. And let them win. Its like almost exact parrelels to iraq. The soldiers of black hawk down and crap were mega pissed when they got pulled out.

Whats worse is that musicians and stuff are some of the worst. e.g greenday and crap. I hate them now. Anyone can say "i hate bush" or "the war is bad" but lets actually say something constructive and back it up. Thats what makes nine inch nails, trent reznor and rage against the machine so great. Is that they said that stuff then had somethign to back it up. Actual facts.

i live in the US and im an American but before anyone starts getting the wrong idea of Americans being hypocrites. After the 9-11 attack, the American public was in full outrage and wanted war since it was a form of retaliation. However, the president has dragged the war for far too long now. The American public now believes that there is more to the war than meets the eye and the war is simply dragging on for too long.

As for my opinion, i simply no longer care since the meaning of the war is lost with all the propaganda and cover-ups.

911 was not related to iraq..

Saddam Hussain, who was put into power by the Americans, tortured people of a certain religion in Iraq. He was horrible, no doubt about that. BUT he was not responsible for 911.

I am not saying Al-Qaida, even though I think OSama and his crew are bad, is 1005% responsible for 911. I think 911 was a frame.. By the way, Osama and his crew was also given power by the american.

Just saying, if you believe that 911 was caused by al qaida, well al qaida and iraq were different. If you believe 911 was a whole setup involving many people of high positions, then still it does not give a reason for the war on iraq.

War was so called against womd, which weren't there. Was also, kinda, to get Saddam off power, but that could have been done in an easier way.

I think war was done to kill the U.S's puppet Saddam, and to make some $$ with the oil.

Though I agree with the GIST of what you are saying, you'd do well to put it into understandable statements.

On the other hand, if people just didn't watch TV for the current events, they'd find themselves with a lot more time to ponder about these things. Rather than just taking in what the media tells you.
I guess the holidays are over - no sig for now.

Anyways, Yes the American public was outraged and we woanted war but I think we went into the war with no thought. Then once their we just switched around and spread ourselves to thin.

Yeah Bush is a crooked war pig, i can't wait till he's out of office. I think we should make him spend a month or two out there, see how much he likes it.

first i think we should turn then whole middle east into a glass bowl

or we should've let saddam go because now that hes gone that whole country is crazy. maybe he had to do some bad things to keep everyone in line. but if he tried anything outside of his boarders then...well were back to the glass bowl

I think going in for WMOD's was the right thing to do, but now we're doing....ummmm...wait a second.......I HAVE NO CLUE. Maybe some lame excuse of suppressing Al Qadea. Innocent soldiers are now being killed as a result of our bad decisions. As soon as we got Saddam/made sure there were no WMOD's we should have withdrawed, immediately, but instead we're creating more of a mess. This goes back to the "for every one terrorist killed, two more come back to fight". Our country is getting into a sticky situation that really won't get better.

You had to bring up the fucking war, didn't you?

    I'm tired of it.
The jealous temper of mankind, ever more disposed to censure than
to praise the work of others, has constantly made the pursuit of new
methods and systems no less perilous than the search after unknown
    lands and seas.

No, I did, because people talking about it pisses me off, and I wish to tell them so. Its stupid that people want to keep talking about it.

Well in my opinion the war would happen even if Bush is not the president. I bleieve that the war is for oil. Yes, Yes the oil theory. Before you stop reading let me explain what i think.
The middle east IS getting stronger, it is even becoming a threat.
The amount of oil is decreasing, price of oil is booming. At one point oil reserves will be very very low, the middle east has a predicted oil reserve that will outlast any country, even US.
Now, all the middle east has to do is to collabarate together (they really are bad at coorperating), believe me, my country is the founding father of the OIC (an organisation uniting all islam countries). If they just decided to refuse to sell their oil, what would happened? Disaster.
The US is trying to prevent a future catastrophe, they have to hit first, they need a prescence in the middle east. And the best excuse is IRAQ.
Out of topic: The middle east had once boycotted the US by not selling oil to the US. It backfired, the US has huge oil reserves that time, oil was still quite common, and the US purchase their oil elsewhere. This incident caused a rapid advancement in science for alternative fuel.
