RAM, no strategical info, even it is, it wont be read there.
When somebody comes GP hungry here, he doesnt go to strategical info. If lucky, he maybe reads the FAQ, maybe there?
EDIT: Oh, this is rules and regulations, even better.
Yes the Golden Rules definately need updating.
SRL is a Library of routines made by the SRL community written for the Program Simba. We produce Scripts for the game Runescape.
i dont see the point of the unsigned thing, simply make the script delete your UID each time you switch chars if you really want, no?
deleteUID; thats the command isnt it?
Wizzup threatened to rape me unless I removed my signature.
Fawky when you will gonna update it?
If only the people with names like "acinkedkyg823" would read this, maybe they could auto more efficiently. Thanks for the UID tip, didn't know about that :-D
yea that uid is nice idea thxs :P
Going to start to use unsigned
loving the last rule "stay online 24\7" lol :P
Basically, for those who don't know this is everything you want to know about uid.dat and all the files jagex store on your pc
* = wildcard (aka any character)
- uid.dat - (UserID) this is where jagex store all the data about yourself for communication between different client windows and check for patterns in your user usage to try to take down your army, as well as recording your ip address and login data (excluding passwords).
Jagex uses this file mainly to check your not "self trading" (where you trade using 2 clients open at once) as each client checks that some on isn't already logged from your network ip. However, this can be cicumvented by clikc the login on each window VERY fast on each client window.
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\jagex_cahche_32\- random.dat - this is an essential file that details your previous randoms with your current user. It cannot be deleted or rewritten as the client maintains full access rights to the file.
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\jagex_cache_32\- main_file_cache*.dat* - stores the actual data downloaded from the signed applet - interfaces, music, images ect.
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\jagex_cache_32\
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\file_store_32\- main_file_cach*.idx255 - index for the main_file_cache*.dat*.
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\jagex_cache_32\
Found in [Lowest-Drive-Letter]\WINDOWS\file_store_32\- cache--*******.dat - another cache file, specifically for updates.
THIS IS THE INTERESTING BIT: As you can see, the evil file here is uid.dat. Here you are faced with a dilemma - should you use the unsigned and be safe or use the signed and benefit from quick loading. NOW YOU CAN HAVE BOTH.
You have probably heard of ScarScape. It is a client which stops north changes and colour changes (all colours are perfect hexs) and does many other things including being a signed applet without making the uid.dat. It is the solution to all your problems. You used to have to pay for it but now it is FREE (he didn't sell any - $50 is too much).
Please download SS from this link (so it is most up to date): http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=2291883
below is an atachment of the october version in case the link gets broken:
I tried this but while the (signed, haven't tried unsigned) runescape game is running it is accessing the files so you cannot access them to delete them with scar. Even if you go back to the main page you still have a file access error. The only way around this is to close the client and open it again... but that would just get annoying and I'm not sure how it would work out... So I just delete the UID.dat file before and after getting on my main. I also use a
program called Tor to reroute my IP adress through several different servers. Even though some java could access your IP anyway, tor seems to work for runescape because while logging on I have never seen my real IP.
P.S. Anyone know if the ScarScape bit from the guy above me is true... Just sounds odd.
lol and do we realli hav to abide by these rules or can we just .... it??
Didnt know about using unsigned, thanks for the information, very usefull!
so deleteUID; is the command?
how u change ur UID again and make it so it dosent came back for rs?
how to use the scarscape i dun understand-.-
106 hours! I only last an hour because randoms arent being solved...
BUT! one day...
is it possible to delete uid.dat file completley as i think i might of i search in jagex cache 32
like everday and not there . =/ even though some times i use signed on my main.
realy nice killing dude
what do u mean buy always auto on unsigned client or w.e??(sorry im a noob) but wat is an unsigned client?
I found 6 files by searcing in files...
C:\.jagex_cache_32
C:\.jagex_cache_32
C:\.mpr_file_store_32
C:\.mpr_file_store_32\vanhat
and D a long thing but thats my black scape so i know what that is...
so which one(s) will i delete?
I made 20 chars and it took way longer than 4 hours... i'm just slow...
Thanks for this! I need to set up a macroing army now. The only thing I can't do is stay online 24/7 (dial-up -.-)
On Windows Vista, the UID.dat file is in the C:\Windows\.jagex_cache_32 directory.
