    Default A mac?!

Ok guys, my dad bought us a mac for our "good" computer. Does anyone know the differences between this and a pc? My autoing computer is still a pc, so I can still script and things, but i want to know what the good features of this thing are . I know for a fact that just by writing this, the keyboard is way different

Mac has cool features, is easier for video/graphics,

    PC better for programming.

PC sucks and crashes easily, macs don't. Linux does even less.

Only thing macs are good for are video and graphics editing. For anything else it sucks. PC blows it out of the water.

PCs are actually crappier than most people think. We just got used to the crappiness.

    Rofl, you are a dumbass...

Mac's crash easier then Windows XP does This has been said many times. I am not sure about the latest OS version, but I know that MAC's used to crash like crazy....

Linux has never crashed for me...

MAC is good, you can buy Windows and emulate it so you can still run everything you had on your PC, but still have the rich UI and "atmosphere" of a MAC.

That's bullshit. You can't emulate and keep all the features. When you emulate, you're effectively running that OS, so you are running XP. Sure, you can skin it to look like a Mac, but that's stupid.

But I will agree with you on the point that Macs do crash more, it's just not as obvious when they do.

So I was wrong, it isn't exactly emulation so much as it is virtualization

Ahh, sorry for being harsh, but yes, virtualization was the correct word.

Then all your above post would be true.

I dont think my mac has crashed yet? I like the iPhoto and the things were you can have fun with graphics, and GarageBand, where you can make your own music, and some other things, along with the fact that it is about 4 times quicker on the internet than my PC. It has 1GB of RAM, my autoing PC has 512MB, and the internet is connected at about 1/4 of the speed. I think if a mac could run SCAR, thats what I would use, because it is so much quicker, and doesnt fuck up as much as my PC .

Ps- The thing in the mac told my dad he could run a VM to use Windows, I was like, yes, get a Windows VM, but dont expect to use it much
