Default KYAB - My 2 cents.

    Ok, well.
Despite me only coming back today i have read up on Kyab and those who agree, disagree, their opinions, ect, and have some things i would like to say.

First off i want to mention how disappointing the amount of negativity that is being thrown around due to KYAB.

It is a step up, an advancement to the community, something new that will benefit for those wanting scripts that don't screw up when left a lone.

Let's face it, Map walking is one of the hardest parts of a script.

Sure, we have SRL that is updated and such, we have Scar.
But, they both have their limits, do they not?

KYAB is merely like an add-on, designed to help those who would rather flawless, quick Map walking (and other tools), rather than creating Scar scripts that are based on how Jagex have designed their maps (Color, Images).

Eventually, something will change- The Scar script won't work anymore and it is not always flawless.
I'm not saying KYAB is, but based on its results, it seems to be living up to its name.

Instead of posting negative remarks and questions, at least thank Benland and Solar for creating KYAB, thinking of it as a benefit to the community and posting.

If you dislike it, that's fine. But don't go on about how it's bad, how you'll never use it, how others won't use it. Just give a "Well done" and perhaps idea's for the utility, or constructive criticism, then leave the post and Browse away.

Benland himself is an amazing scripter, he took time to make this for us all.
I'm not sure what Solar did (ahah, I don't mean that in a bad way, Solar)- But, he obviously also dedicated himself to the project so we could all take a step up and advance in what we're here for. (Most of us, anyway).

Without KYAB- We can't make scripts that travel far distances with efficiency and flawless abilities.

With KYAB- We can do the above. If you don't like it, it's just a spare utility in case you ever need it.

I read in Fakawi's thread that one of his dislikes is the possibility that it could stopped being worked on and die.
Well, in that case, either convert the script to Map walking using SRL/Scar or find another script.

    Easy? Mmk.

    Let's not be selfish.
Do not flame, do not spam.
Close this topic if you must, i just wanted everyone to read this and think before they post.

    Thankyou.

Ok, well, I've just been chatting with some people who have informed me on Solar's past, and i can see where most people are coming from in trusting KYAB.

Just to let you know, my post is not an ecouragment on using KYAB, nor is it a supporting statement. I was just baising it around community support and friendliness.

I, myself, believe that Ben did most of the work and Solar did hardly anything.
I have no reason why Benland decided to work with Solar, and we won't know till he posts.

    I'm not sure.

But, nonetheless, it doesn't change my views on how people have reacted in the past.

You're back?! I thought you were here just for a tour of the forums. Why do you people leave anyway? Time to see some updated Monster Fighting functions eh?

Meh, I still hope this doesn't become the second Aryan.

I don't quite know if i'm back permanently. But, i'll stick around for a while.
I left 'cause i went to Moparisthebest and, well, got comfy.

I don't plan on Scripting anytime soon, or ever.

By "2nd Aryan", do you mean in a mass ban context, deserted-left-unupdated, or, what?

    (Man, you guys reply fast.)

KYAB won't "become the next aryan".. It just finds the tile you're standing at and UIDs or types or whatever.. In my opinion KYAB is only a good thing, how can flawless walking be bad? And many people most likely don't like KYAB because you need to be accepted before you can use it (sort of like SRL members).. After not getting accepted they complain how it sucks and everything, or people just like RRW more, I don't see any reason why but everyone has their own opinion about things.

I don't feel like posting my entire opinion again, as you would have probably read it.
I won't post on this thread again.

    Exactly.
I can not think of any ways that KYAB is in the wrong, really.
It is extremely useful, helpful, and if people don't want to use it, simply don't.

I did read a bit, and have forgotten most of your points, but do know they are all, in a way, attacking KYAB.

You say it could be more detectable. I trust Benland when he says that it does none of the sort but what he says.

If you don't trust it, don't use it. But don't enforce other people into your opinions.

Just so you know, i'm not attacking you.
I don't want this to turn into a flame fest.
