Unfortunately, you just can't compete with all of the lvl3 "bots" wood cutting these days, so definitely create as many accounts as you can, spend the time training them right...get their combat up...a little extra work now, will pay you back much later...

    Good Luck,

yea since those lvl 3 took over the yews and some willow trees, its very hard to collect any logs. mining is a better choice

I would say mining but it's much more time consuming.. And wood-cutting is good on P2P worlds if your willing to pay 1m for a P2P pin, you still get bots on P2P worlds but not as many

woodcutting is probably easier, especially when you get up to the higher levels and are able to cut oak trees. Just don't use the ones under the tree emblems; those seem to be reserved by the lvl3 autoers

I agree that the best way is to wood cut. You just get many more offers from buyers. Wood also controls many of the skills, so you know someone will always want wood. One time, a guy was buying wood for much higher than usual just because he was so desperate to lvl up his fletching to 99. So you have to look for that

Woodcutting is problably better for money, but the level 3 autoers kind of dominate that right now. So for now I'd go with mining.

I would have to say that the best choice for moneymaking would probably be woodcutting. However, if your looking to start autoing as fast as possible its a lot easier to get a character to the required coal/iron mining lvl than it is to get to the yew cutting lvl (Willows dont seem worth it anymore to cut, too cheap). So its kind of a toss up for me.

Question, What do you do with wood, other then burn it? I have never figured out why people would spend so much money on yew logs.

Yes, as RAM said, the hard work will be rewarded, after you have your accs over 30 combat level, maybe even over 60 mining, you should mine in the lumbridge swamps west, I recommend Claws Lumby West Swamp Dinosaur (got him SRL Masters cup )

There is never bots or anyway much people, usually just two or three people + you.

Although there are many woodcutter bots around, there is still much profit to be made from selling logs. Mining usually requires much more walking and only 1 ore can be obtained from each rock. Trees yield much more material per click, so I would say woodcutting is better than mining.

Because of the GE I'd say woodcutting. Coal down to close to 100gp each while yews are alive and kickin' at 400.

i would say mining, once you get to rune rocks, have an auto on that, and in a hour you'd be VERY rich, but i guess it be kinda hard to auto in wildy... idk i guess auto till you can mine rune that mine yourself after that?

I haven't seen much talk about fishing. Since fishing only takes one click to start collecting multiple fish, where as mining takes one click for EACH ore to get. Why is mining proffered?

    I'd say woodcutting.
    Higher demand, higher prices.

Mining seems to happen faster than yews.

    I feel fishing wins xD

Woodcutting is still in high demand for the easy 99 fletching level, so it is currently better than mining.

I hope this question isn't too noob-ish, but why are yews so expensive and what are the uses for them?

I enjoy mining then smithing and then selling. Good experience and money in my opinion.

    they both good

i reckon they both good, if u have like a steel bar company or something mining is good so u can get ur own rescources or something in mininf giuld everyones quiet, but they dont really hog the coal...

and yews a good coz all u do is click on a tree n jus wait while the logs are chopped up n u jus talk wit people as well ....

but wen u talk bout money yews kill it
