Well I just reformatted my comp, coming to the conclusion that the mouse is simply fucked up.

On a side note, I'm running an even smaller version of TinyXP that uses 42MB of RAM as opposed to the the retail XP's 256MB

XP doesn't use 256 MB. Else they wouldn't run on comps with 128 MB, which they do.
I guess the holidays are over - no sig for now.
