You will most likely regret ever putting that crap on your computer.

ok, lets try not to advertize, that makes me angry.

but yeah, the vista authentication stuff is going to be a pain, i sujest trying to get it as legitly as possible. defanitly dont get it form a torrent, you wil most defeanitly regret that.

linux is a wonderfull alterantive btw, whether you are looking for the "ooh aaahh" of vista, or just hardcore functionality...

but for right now, stick with xp, because its kinda tricky to get scar to work with vista. (really tricky, aka, i havnt been able to do it)

Vista's too much a memory hog. If you're looking for eye candy, check out Sabayon Linux. It comes with Beryl, all ready to run.

Xgl is worth looking into, too, though I've never used it before, so I don't know how well it works.

Unless you have a good computer, yes, it's slow.

Even with a good computer it's slow. My 5 year old desktop beats my friend's laptop (with vista on it) that has 2 gig of RAM and a good (not sure what) processor.

i supose that a virtual machine would work with no problem though, good idea.
