    Default VMWare Question

    Hi Ya'll,

A few weeks ago i installed VMWare following one of the guides on these boards, everything worked like a charm.

Sadly enough 2 days ago i had a little crash and had to reinstall my PC, cause there where a few things on the HD i didn't wanted to loose i choose for reinstalling XP over the messed up one, instead of doing a format.
Now my problem is that somehow the 8GB of the old VM is still unavaileble to me at the moment. Can't get to it, not even the old VM.

Can anyone help me out here to reclaim that 8GB without having to format the HD?

    Be more specific.

    Does it give you errors?
Is it just that the vm doesn't appear in the list?
Or that you can't find the vm files?
    Or?

I don't get any errors, can't get to the VM at all as it hasn't been installed on the new XP installment.

Just somehow, the 8GB allocated to VM with the first XP installment hasn't been freed when i installed XP again.

Found out what was wrong, it seems that after installing XP over the old instalment it still keeps the old profile. Found it in "Documents and Settings"
on the C drive and was 10GB big.
