    Default Virtual Machines

Hey everyone, have you ever wondered "is it possible to auto on 2 accounts at once on the same computer?" well i have found the solution. some of you may of heard of it before, it is called a Virtual Machine.

So, you want to set up a Virtual Machine ey? well your going to need this:
    * VMware workstation 6, to download a trial version, click here and fill out the instructions.
    * BitTorrent - for downloading TinyXP
    * TinyXP Beast Edition - click on the green "Diese Torrent Datei herunterladen" words to start downloading
    * Some type of Burning program (Nero)
    * A blank CD - You can't download one of these :\

Once you have installed VMware Workstation (now referred to as VMW) open up BitTorrent and add a new file (the green + and add the TinyXP Beast Edition.TOR if you couldn't guess). It takes a while to download but it's worth the wait - so don't give up!

when it is finished, open up DeepBurner and choose the Burn an ISO image option. add the file you downloaded (TinyXP Beast Edition.iso (it looks like a winRAR file, but it isn't.)) then put in your BLANK CD and start burning at the lowest possible speed.

when it is finished, open up VMW and click on New Virtual Machine
    Then click:
Custom > Next > Microsoft Windows > Version XP Pro
Processors: 1 (even if you have a Dual Core Procesor)
    Memory to allocate: 256MB
Use NAT Networking > Next > New Virtual Disc > Next
    Disc Size: Leave at 8GB
Name it something if you want.
    Press Finish!

Now put the TinyXP CD into your computer and press the play button, click Continue if somethng pops-up wait for it to load and choose NTFS (Quick) for the formatting.

Note: if you have alot of RAM and decide to clone your virtual machine, make sure you choose the "linked" option.

When it's finished, click VM > Install VMware Tools then start downloading Java, SCAR, ETC.

    Enjoy using your Virtual Machine!

This is ok, but it just basically a rip off of lolpie's.....

And you really need to tell people that you don't need to burn TinyXP to a disc you can just keep it as an .iso and emulate it in VM.

Also you need to allocate more RAM then 256mb to run TinyXP efficiently. I would say minimum RAM for running the VM and your host is about 1 gig. So I would allocate 512mb of RAM to your VM because you host does steal away some of its RAM.

You don't need to burn them on cd, just torrent .iso file and you can use it without burning it on cd.

The last time I checked most of these Virtual Machines didn't exactly help your computer...
    Active only during the Summer...

Wouldn't it be more efficient to run X runescape instances on a machine instead of running the extra overhead of one or more virtual machines?

Or am I unaware of some security/detectability reason?

Heheheh... or you could could just get a cheap `puter and a KVM switch.
...Sorry, couldn't resist. However, you can make some serious REAL money with several computers, a KVM switch, and playing for REAL money on poker sites. Know someone who does it.

The point of VMs is to auto while having your mous+keyboard free so you can do other things. It's also great for transferring items between accounts.

It doesn't hurt your computer...it makes it lag because it uses up a lot of resources.

Why do you guys use Windows XP? Windows 98 is MUCH faster and can run faster than XP with half as much RAM!

When I ran this on my computer, it sort of almost broke it, it lagged and I had to do a System Restore because it stuffed up everything, but thats just my experience, if I could add, it isnt the best computer.

Try getting ahold of vmware esx. Using this, you can run multiple vms and close the console to save cpu.

This seemed a little complicated but was quite easy to follow if you read it thoroughly, thank you.
