Default Cousin has 1 week left

    Jason S.- 1986-2007 He's gone...

Yeah, call me a noob on this forum for not searching... But I was recently told that my cousin has one week left to live.

He's been suffering with cancer since December 2005. There has been many different other problems with his system. Chemotherapy didn't seem to work. He had an organ doner, which kept him living for a little while more. Now, he can't breathe by himself. He has to have an oxygen tube.

Jason (that is his name) is now 21 years old. It was my dad who told me this information. I am only 13 years old, but I care about him, and can only pray that he survives. I hope that this topic is suitable for the "General" forum here. Please post your comments, concerns, or questions here. Thank you.

Doctors say he isn't going to make it past today, August 9, 2007. Visited Jason yesterday. We had a little fun. I'm going to go to the predicted wake on Saturday.

First: Don't waste you time discussing about this here, BE with your cousin! If he means a lot, you should spend as much time as you can with him <3!

I personally haven't lost anyone very close to me, i'd give adviec, but i don't have an experience to base anything off of.

OK, thank you Esteban. I'm going to ask my dad to take me with him to the hospital to see Jason when he goes. I'm going to try to spend as much time as I can with him in the next week.

I lost my grandma who was very dear to me so i suggest you spend as much time as possible with him,or you'll keep missing him and regretting the time you didn't spend with him.and you'll keep going back to the time you could have spent with him and bitchin that you didn't.It hurts when someone close to you passes away and it leaves a hole in your life, looking for the things they always did and remembering they arent here anymore..

Yeah, thanks kaustav. It will leave an empty feeling in my stomach for a little awhile. But sooner or later I'm going to forget about it.. except when I purposely think about him. Yeah, i hope I can have some fun.. If it's medically possible... with Jason. That'll leave a good feeling in my heart whenever I think about him.

Of course! Candy is the all-mighty source of life! I was going to bring him something, whether it be candy or an object of entertainment. I was planning on giving him something to remember me by. I gave my grandfather a live-strong wristband in the hospital a few nights before he passed away. I might do the same thing.

    @ Jukka

I see that many people have suggested spending time with him, so I will really try to. PROMISE. I'll ask my dad after he gets home from work tommorrow, OK? I'm sure I'll be able to see him at least twice. And that's pretty crazy, 2 weeks, I guess you know what it's like.. well in a less serious situation.

    @ Bourdou

I have a feeling looking at porn won't help him much in his condition.

When my grandma was ill with cancer, she had alot of drugs in her system that relaly fucked her up in her last week of living. She didn't really know who she was, who I was, or where she was.

    Was pretty upsetting to see.

I was about 15 at the time (im 18 now) and I choose to stay at home the last time the family visited her alive, because it upset me so much.

I deeply regret that now, not being there for her.

I suggest you see him as much as possible.

I'd known my grandma all my life, and she'd always given me things my parents wouldn't let me have because she was awesome.

    Go spend time with him.

That really sucks that your grandma was like that in her last week, Sp0rk. I can see how it really is important to spend your time with a loved one in their last days. I'll be sure to do the right thing.

Do you realize that this is just a ****little**** more serious than your ravings about porn?? Come on man, this is cancer we're talking about, not some small, common cold, where you can laugh and joke around about.

    @ Jason2gs

Thanks for caring, Jason. It really helps.

    @ Passiondrive

That's even worse when your dad has the medical problem... I mean, it's like you've know him all your life. I'll be sure to spend as much time with him as I can.

I'm truly sorry to hear this.

If he doesn't survive at least know he will be in a better place and he will not be suffering as much.

You know, I'm not a great believer in god, But when my dad was in hospital I prayed he would be ok and look at him now. He survived when it was 90% certain he would die. Keep positive and great things can happen!

This might sound harsh, but get out of this forum and go to your brother.
