    Default Seven-Five-Six

Well, Barry Bonds has finally broken the Great American Record. He has passed Hank Aaron on the all-time Home Run list.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iev4kIqBdVw

The guy who caught the ball? From Queens, NY, who was on his way to Austrailia, and happened to stop at the game. Well, he's a millionaire now.

So who's happier? The fan or Barry?

And do you think that Barry Bonds should have an asterisk next to his name for cheating?

I hope he doesnt sell it straight away. Anyways. He shouldnt be on the list. Asterix's are useless. If he cheated take him off the list no asterix

He's never tested positive... plus steroids weren't illegal until a few years ago, everyone did them and no one got called a cheater. Do I think he uses them? Yes, but who the hell cares? If he wants to destroy his liver and get some nice jugs to make millions of dollars and break records then let him.

I hope he does sell it right away! Once Bonds hits 757, 756 becomes generally useless!

Anyway, he was positive for steroids, but he says that his trainer never told him they were steroids. (His trainer is in jail too, btw). Bonds, I've never accused him to be guilty. EVER. Not until the judge finds him guilty will I ever believe he is guilty. This is an amazing record, and we, including Bud Selig, my new least-favorite sports commish should applaud.

i think its great that he passed it. im sure the fan is also happier . he has great luck. also i believe in, " innocent until proven guilty" . if he hasn't been proven guilty by a judge etc. then he's innocent.

He shouldn't have an asterisk next to his name. That's dumb. He earned it, even if he did drugs and stuff. You don't think Olympic athletes or any other sport has drug users in it? I'm sure that the guy was excited that he caught the ball, it'll go in the Baseball Hall of Fame anyway, but still it's cool. Lucky duck that caught the ball is probably sitting high on a few million right now (if not in a few days/weeks). If I caught it, I'd tell Barry to give me the bat, his gloves, and the keys to his car for it lol. I ain't givin up that easy Barry.

I watched the film just now and I got cold chills. That's such a feat though. It's incredible and I thought it was neat that Hank Aaron "passed the torch" to Barry. Very cool indeed.

I completely agree with that. Barry Bonds worked just as hard for that accomplishment than anyone else; even if he did use aides. Plenty of other athletes use drugs/steroids and still remain below the radar so I think it would just be unfair to punish just Bonds for something he just did in his past. Even Hank Aarons has accepted the fact that his record has been beaten by a fellow ball player.

Do you watch ESPN? I've seen interviews of Hank Aaron thinking the opposite. He just didn't want to make a national scene.
