Never seen a proxy that would work for RS .. Or prob. to the mainsite but not the game itself.

All you're doing when you buy a server is paying for someone else's server time. You could easily make your own server, but as Sp0rke and R0b0t said, it'd be quite slow.

    A few links:

    http://www.apache.org/
    http://philip.greenspun.com/panda/server
    http://www.dslwebserver.com/

I actually have my own server. It's just... Very slow, and only online when my laptop is.

(Yes, I do own the server. No, it's not a sub-server. Conr is just a site that gives you free sub-domain names/redirects. Saves people from having to type in the IP address )

And if it is illegal to sell pixels, just say that you're selling the time it took you to get them.

Yeah, I've heard the same complaints as what GOF said, seeing that it isn't physical goods you are selling and the pixels don't actually belong to you, it's easy for people to submit a claim with paypal and get their money back....

On another note, Jagfex knows who the major gold sellers are in the game, but unfortunately, the way they have been combating it lately, is by banning the people that buy the gold and not the people selling it....The sellers are WAYYYY aware of this, and is the reason they have their disclaimers on their sites....

Alright, maybe I worded it wrong...

Instead of saying you're selling Jagex pixels, tell them that you're doing a job for the buyer to gather the GP, and in return you're charging some money.

They can't "IP" ban you if you have a dynamic IP address, they must subnet ban you.

Like, if you have ONE computer on the IP address 1.15.133.7, that one computer would have the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 . (255.255.255.1 and so on)

Don't believe me? Go to MS-DOS and type ipconfig.

    Questions

    1. Is it legal? NO- Not at all. Real world item trading is a direct violation 12. Its pretty hard for J@gexx to catch u though, but they DO claim to have very good detecting programs for any strange trades (etc. a lvl 96 trading a 3 and the lvl 3 trading 10m). They can only ban you for reasonable suspicion)
    2. Is paypal hard to put on a website and cheap? (you know, to sell the money!) Paypal is just an easy way to sell/buy things without entering all your information, since your paypal account holds that information. You can also accept a direct credit card payment/e-check.
    3. Do Jagex shut down the Servers? (hosting or whatever i don't know)
    4. Is it worth it? Yes. If you can auto about 1m a day and you can sell it for about 13$ a mill (yes, ppl who dont know about sites that use chinese sweatshops and sell mils for about 3.50 ea will buy it for at least 8 dollars, especially noobs. I have sold many mills for 15$ ea, personally.
    5. Can i get into real trouble for it? Yes, if Jagex DOES catch you as i mentioned before, they claimed to have a system that detects suspicous behavior. I recommend using a lvl 3/4 noob, so that if you do get in trouble, it wont really matter. People have also reported being banned on their mains because they claim you transfered money to a lvl 3, which was later traded to someone else.
    6. Are you against it (srl) Because if you are, i won't do it! Idk srls stand. Sry.
    7. And finally, can they track your credit card or something and get you arrested or something wild like that ROFL. - I dont think so because Jagex would have to go through a whole lotta trouble....
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'm trying my best to become a good person in this community!

    Hope i helped

..... I think you need to read up the difference between ips on your home network and then the ips out in the world. And no that ip wouldnt have the subnet of 255.255.255.0 rofl. WEll not straight away anyways. You would need to subnet it. But im gathering from a home network you would have no reason to. Unless you wanted someone else in your house to be on a diff network. generally 255.255.255.0 home networks are 192.168.1.(host bit here) omfg i hackzored you

ANYWAYS back on topic. Yes start your own site. No dont advertise it here. Yes jagex can shut down your site. No they cant be bothered if you are selling a couple of mills. Yes it is worth it if you RESELL. Yes/No SRL generally doenst care what site you make in your own time. WE dont restrict peoples lives.
