This is fun to watch. From a main x and y co-ordinate it will look in the "n, s, e, w" directions and record the length of the line until the main color is not found on the next estimated co-ordinates.
Example:
If there was a crosshair that was all colored black, and you selected the exact middle. This script would scan the pixels of the lengths of each direction and return with the longest.

To use this:
Drag the crosshair on this window and select the color picker. Each red arrow pointing to a main line point means this is where the script can be used. Pick one out of the three selections and pick the color. (Make sure you pick it where the arrow is pointing, Around the center.) Then, insert the color of the line ( 0 = Black ) and the co-ordinates into the constantses. Press play and watch.
