Hey there, apparently my parents will save a boat load of money by switching from verizon DSL/Broadband, Verizon phone service, and comcast to a Verizon 3 way package (2 year contract) with FiOS, Verizon phone, and FiOS cable (I can keep my On Demand, woohoo).
They say that download/upload rates are 5000kb/2000kb minimum. Also, according to wikipedia, in 'hot spots' like near the tri-state area, DC, etc, it can get up to 30mb/5mb max (and they said something about 50/10 in certain markets, but I don't know about that....). Hopefully we won't go back to the 700kb/400kb I've got now (which isn't bad at all, just downloading can take a while...).
I've also heard that IPs can switch multiple times per day.
