I also thought 10 posts was low, and so i set it to 25 to start with. However, Wizzup and Fakawi both convinced me otherwise, and i shall try to do the same here

Regardless of however many posts you make, you must be registered at the forums for at least 7 days before you have access to everything. Regardless of however many days you have been registered at the site, you must make at least 10 posts to have access to the rest of the forums.

The first one shows us that you are willing to be active. You register, you wait patiently for 7 days and eventually you will be rewarded. Whilst you wait, you look around, and what we have left you to look around at includes tutorials and example SRL scripts. (And of course the SRL download and help forums)

The second one shows us you are willing to be active. We don't want people to register at the forums, wait 7 days and then just silently download all of our hard work. Its not fair; we gain no feedback, no thank yous; no suggestions and the leechers gain it all.

10 posts in 7 days is a manageable amount. Thats 1 post most days, maybe 2-3 in others. Increasing the post count to say 25 means that they will have to post 3 posts per day. With the limited amount of visible forums we have given them, this would encourage spam and would defeat the purpose of why we are trying to do this. 1 post per day is nothing! Run a script we give you and give us constructive criticism about it.

We feel if you can be active by posting 10 posts, and patient by waiting 7 days, you deserve something for it. Remember, if a users spams his 10 posts in the first day, he still wont have access to the forums, and will probably be punished for spamming. Spammers will not be tolerated, and will be banned. Then they have to wait again, or will not have access to SRL again.

This is true. But, remember this only works for the ones who sign up after the reforms. People who were leechers before, now only have to make 10 posts. Well thats no big deal, the most of them already have like 5-7 posts... Just my opinion. :-).

You are right of course. However, if you check out registration stats, you will find we are having 100+ registrations a day!

Thats a lot of registrations . But, there must be a lot of other ways to make this form leecher-clean + a 'family', or am i wrong?

Good idea! Its like giving the newer people scripts but not many good ones at that. And giving people who meeet the requirrments better scripts! Unless someone wants to make a good script here.

though, I've been on these forums for months, but I haven't written nearly anything so maybe I should start beeing more active and give feedback etc. for the scripters.

You could always be strict and screen each person individually :P. Of course that would fix everything but I mean how many potentially active members would we be losing? There are flaws in everything, nothing, nobody is perfect.

The only disadvantage to this is now on Freddy1990.com we can't just send everybody to the SRL Forums, oh well, they don't really deserve scripts if they will just take them and hide in a hole.

I think this is a great idea I give it...umm, 9/10.

Some kind of 'point/rep' system. Every time someone goes against the rules, he gets a point, when you got 5 points. You will be 'downgraded' to Free For All section, until you have proven your not a leecher. Something like that?

i have almost 1 month + 25+ Posts.. i am trying to learn... but it seems harder than i think it is.. i think ill try scripting ... anyways i think theres a bug i have 14 and more than 25... but i cant go in..

I propose that instead of this system, we have an application system set up. It will be like applying to be an SRL member, but it will be way more lenient. Just to prove that people have a general idea of how SCAR works. This would probably make tons of spam applications, I know, so it might be a bad idea.
