    Same, I'm using VLC and a .avi, must not work in Vista.

    not working for me.... this been tried on vista and does the movie need to be in full screen or what? im only getting a screen cap like usually...

    it doesnt work for me, everytime it happens MSpaint just freezes up

    Yeah i found this out while trying to get a screenie of a movie as well... I was aggrovated >
    But I didn't find out until after I had saved the file, then opened it up later... as it played what was currently playing, (I had switched movies... and it showed the new movie when I opened the file. )
    This isn't the EXACT story... but the exact story is a little more embarrassing XD pm for details.

    /!?!?? i thought everyone knew this?!!?!?!? wow .... well i knew it for ever, because i used to want to take screenies from movies. the video_ts folders on dvds have blocks on this because they dont want u to recapture frame by frame. if u want a screenie u need to get special software....however theres obviously a bunch of free stuff

    my fav for everything is VLC

    at vlcmedia.com or somthin

    it can take screenies....
