    My computer is definitely not smart enough to play on two accounts at the same time. I think the single core socket A AMD Athlon XP 2200+ is holding me back. I have 2GB of PC2100 RAM and a 6800GS AGP graphics card.
    While autoing well on the VM, runescape lags so bad on my actual PC to make it just about unplayable.
    I gave the VM 256MB RAM and 5GB harddrive space. I am using SCAR 3.12 because it works with a script I want to run now.
    It is very nice to be able to browse the internet and macro though.
    Thanks again for this tutorial.

    No, you will not get a virus on your whole computer if you get one on your VM.

    You have more than enough RAM to supply the VM, so see if increasing it to 600mb helps. After you set the settings to 600mb ram, restart your computer, then start the VM and see if it's going smoothly.

    There should be an option to use NAT on one VM and Bridged on the other one. I do that and it works fine.
    Does that have something to do with the proxy? I have no idea how to use those.

    The virtual machine seems to auto Runescape great with just 256MB of RAM. I don't think giving the virtual machine more ram would affect it.
    I just can't play on my normal machine at the same time. I think it's the processor's fault, since I have plenty of RAM.

    I don't think NAT and bridged have anything to do with proxy. On the virtual PC console, under Settings and Networking, you can set a virtual machine's adapter to "Shared networking (NAT)" and set a different virtual machine's adapter to "Local only." I think Local only is the setting to use for bridged. Please correct me if it is not.

    The duplication worked for me. I have my first virtual machine set to NAT. I set the second one to my wireless adapter. Everything looks good. I'm glad it was easy and quick. Thanks for letting us know about it.

    I have a problem with running multiple VM's. Either VM's internet only works with one network setting, My D-Link wireless adapter. So when I try to run multiple VM's on runescape, it tells me the login limit is exceeded. I have tried all of the different network settings within the VM. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Use unsigned version when opening the RS client.

    I was using unsigned on both VM's. Do I need them on different client settings?

    Also... If the VM's are turned off, is the RAM that I gave to the VM's used by my real computer again? Basically, do I have all of my RAM when the VM is off?

    Can anyone tell me how much hard drive memory MS Virtual PC takes up when installed?(Not including a Virtual PC)
    Is it a free program?
    And would it be better than the VMware Workstation 6.0 ACE Edition?
    If Microsoft's version uses less Hard Drive space, I might consider switching to that.

    How much memory does it take up?
    What would be better, VMware ACE Workstation or Microsoft's version?

    check if you dont have previously installed virtual Pc versions at Control panel > Add/Remove programs. If there isnt any try restarting PC and install then.

    So they both have the same RAM usage(no OS's running), and Disk usage?

    Well i couldnt find anything about 2007 versions, but i found for 2004 versions.

    Product: Microsoft Virtual PC 2004
    System requirements: 400MHz Pentium II or better, 32MB RAM, Windows 2000 or XP

    or
    Product: VMware Workstation 4.5
    System requirements: 500MHz Pentium II or better, 128MB RAM, Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003, various Linux distributions

    Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

    Pros

    * Simple to use
    * More features from VM Additions
    * Smoother Windows support

    Cons

    * Limited OS support beyond Windows
    * Interface and help feel deceptively sparse
    * No USB pass-through support

    VMware Workstation 4.5

    Pros

    * Speed, speed, speed
    * Strong Linux support
    * Robust networking options
    * USB pass through support
    * Support for SCSI devices

    Cons

    * Price vs. Virtual PC
    * No dynamic display resizing
    * Less-refined Windows support

    There are a lot of web sites where they put Virtual PC and VMware on challenge, and a lot of them say that they both are quite similiar, but a lot of them say that VMware is faster, and there are less lags. I dont know, they both work very well on my computer. You could just check it out by yourself.
    And can read here.

    no problem. But i suggest you to use that TinyXP anyways, because it is installing very fast.
    Oh but there is one nice thing about all this virtual machines thing. My max download speed ir ~560kb/s.. but on the virtual machine (Virtual PC 2007), i can download with speed ~685kb/s. I dont know why.. but i like it

    My virtual machines folder is currently 1.30GB with two MS virtual machines set up. I think it was half that size with only one, but don't really remember.

    Very nice guide! I wanted to do this myself a while a go but I gave up after a few hours of research. Now with the help of this guide I should be able to to the job, I guess..
    How do I know? Know how.
