    Default Programming Help

Right there was a note in school today about the British Informatics Olympiad. Its a competition in which you get 3 hours to solve a problem in a language of your choice. Id love to do it in pascal SCAR has taught me much about this language and ive looked at the past problems and inside of SCAR i could solve them,

However im wondering how similar is SCAR coding to normal PASCAL? function such as SubString dont exist right? and how long would it take me to convert?

WriteLn exists and it has several purposes, of which none write to anything like a debug box

Delphi is dervied from pascal and written in Delphi.
    Scar is written in Delphi.
I'd say just try Delphi, shouldn't be that hard, or else just try Pascal.
I made a new script, check it out!.

    Try Java .

Why can't you do it in SCAR? It is a language by itself. But if you want something a little more powerful then definitely go for Delphi. It is much similar to SCAR same syntax, you just need to familiarize yourself with a bunch of procedures.
