    Default Yankees or Redsox?

Probably the most controversial topic of a professional baseball fan. Who is the better baseball team, the New York Yankees or the Boston Redsox? (I know its not baseball season but i felt like asking anyway).

To answer this question myself i would definately pick the Yankees. But i want to hear what everyone else thinks.

*Also, who do you think will sign Twins ace starting pitcher Johan Santana, the Yanks or the Sox?

The Yankees are soooo overpaid, but they haven't had a good season in the last few years. They should be the best team in the league, but they aren't.

To tell you the truth the redsox have the 2nd highest payroll in the mlb next to the yankees. But you are right they should be winning a lot more than they did. Especially in the postseason . But if they aquire Johan, they should do much better.

I'm all for the redsox, just because they have had such a crappy period. The Yankees are over rated, and have been that way for many years.

I mean im gonna have to protect the yanks on this one. Ill give you the 04 and 07 world series. But by adding those 2 with the others previous the curse, well, thats only a total of 7. All i have to say is that the yankees have 26 world championsips and 13 consecutive seasons in the playoffs.

As for the overpaid debate, the redsox, like i have said before, have the 2nd highest payroll in the MLB. They just choose not to use it because Theo Epstein has too much faith in his farm system and decides to keep their key veterans around. The yankees on the other hand decide to open up their options and spend it on key All star players. With the recent talk of them signing Johan Santan they will probably dominate the AL East.

Not to mention the depth of the yankees bullpen rotation is much better in my opinion than the redsox.

    Yankees Bullpen
    - Joba Chamberlin
    - Phil Huges
    - Ian Kennedy
    - Kyle Farnsworth

    Redsox Bullpen
    - Okajima (idk how its spelled)
    - John Papelbon
