nope, if it is off, all it uses is the hd space. your computer will run normally when the virtual pcs are off
If you go to task manager and then processes, then order by name (alphabetically) you can view the processes that it runs at all times (they all start with "vm"), even when off. It always has a few going, but they are very small when it is off.
Agreed with the above statement. Even if it did, Ram prices are so ridiculously cheap there is no reason not to have 2 Gigs of ram in every computer ($40 for 1 gb of ddr2 800, Unbelievable...). There are reasons for not having 4+ gigs, but that has to do with memory allocation on a 32bit system (Windows can't do it and needs to be in 64 bit mode)
